If you want...
Functionality then go for:
M4 Obsidian beast
Aesthetics:
M4 Radiant Beast
In terms of melees:
Kukri is very versatile and is great for many situations. Think of this as your go to melee when everything is going south.
Axe is like the most popular kid in class. Everyone seems to want axe for head slashing. To describe axe.
Easy to use right away. Mastering it requires some time and effort. The axe often likes to make their user feel like they are a axe master when in fact they need more practice.
Shovel is the bang for your buck. Lots of different melees in 1 shovel. Most players melee style depends on their weapons. However the shovel removes that limit and allows you to use many different styles.
Xuan yuan sword user is kicking your butt? Switch to a faster melee, like karambits or knuckles.
Bladed knuckles is good for rushing players. Strong offensive style. It's full potential is for 1v1 only. As more players gang on you, the potential drops. -

For the M4's....I personally prefer the Obsidian Beast (which funnily enough I don't actually own), it also has some advantage in ZM for you if you use it but it is exactly like the Iron Beast just different skin + the ZM heal perk. However the healing is a small bonus and negligible if you have the Rings with ZM Heal perks. However, the M4 Prism DOES have 3 melee attack sequence that the others don't have making it a more deadly option if you find yourself in close quarters with someone.
The predator would be worth considering if you play a lot of Mutation games as it gives a jump boost and it gets an ammo boost in those modes. But if you're not playing mutation then i'd avoid it.
For AK's, i'd suggest just getting one that has a the Kill/Death rate save option. That's about all I use mine for. And while the AK47 Iron Beast is nice...I personally HATE the charge 'shot' as it's really just another melee attack that's not very effective and sometimes you'd rather use the regular knife stab. The AK47 Obsidian Beast has a drum mag for playing ZMs which can be nice but the temporary anti-zombie weapons such as the AA12 Infection and P90 Fatal Wasp outclass it in ZM so it's not really worth it for that. Other than that they're pretty much all the same. Though the 2 older AK VIPs now have the option to change their appearances with colors though it'll cost you a bit more. I'd probably go with Iron or Obsidian still....
For Melee. Bladed Knuckles are quite OP. However the Shovel is worth considering as it does give you access to a variety of other melee weapons and shovel skins. Although it's not convenient to cycle through to get the one you want it can be fun. Kukri is best overall. I'm honestly not a fan of the axe that much though.
I'd also advise to wait for a VIP sale. Which could be as soon as Black Friday. Though I'm also willing to be we get a VIP pre-order sale before the 1st patch in December and you can occasionally bundle old VIPs with the new one during those for a discount. -
M4A1 Iron Beast
All the AK47's suck, stick with the AK47-Camo. (Unless you want the No KDR option, any would do)
Bladed is the easiest to use.
Yes the VIP M4 provides significantly more advantages.
But to be fair, both ak and m4 vip does 1-2 point more damage to the body. -

I have both rings and obsidian beast and i tell u i get a lot more hp from m4a1 osidian than from both rings. -

My personal Opinion based on what i've used.
Knife: Kukri Vip - Beautiful Design and very much an all round amazing weapon to have by your side.
Sniper: Barrett - Just the most overpowered sniper you'll ever get your hands on, it's abilities compensates for its weight.
Rifle: Wait 1 month, just trust me on that i won't make any further comment ^^ Otherwise AK obs for me:)
Pistol: Both the el-dorado and D.E obs are lovely and unique in there own ways can't choose between them
Other vips: Tommy gun, RPk etc, i don't have the tommy but it is a lovely looking gun, rpk, tbh with you there are some beautiful machine guns out there which I'd rather try and go for instead of spending on the rpk.
Also i highly recommend you hold on to your ZP until black friday ^^
Other then that i hope whatever you decide to buy will satisfy you, good luck. -

For VIP M4's: M4 Obsidian Beast (because it looks really nice and has the easiest spray pattern to abuse imo)
For VIP AK's: AK Iron Beast (I don't actually own it, but it feels a lot nicer than the other VIP ak's I've actually used)
For VIP Melee's: This is strictly a preference thing, since I'm used to Axe's I would say the VIP axe; however, if you are going for ease of use/brokenness I'd go for the Kukri or the Knuckles
If you were to buy any one VIP, I would recommend the M4 Obsidian Beast because it gives that zesty +200 exp, is very easy to use and abuse spray patterns, and is imo the most overpowered VIP in the game right now. Obviously opinions vary but meh. -
