  • Can you check if the "System.dat" and "System.ini" File in your Screenshot Folder is set to "Read Only"?

That'd be the only thing I'd imagine that's stopping you from changing resolutions in-game. Uncheck the Read Only Checkmark if it is.

    It's located under Documents\CrossFire.

Are you able to switch into Windowed Mode, and able to switch Resolutions from there?

EDIT - ...Just for the sake of clarity, you aren't talking about the Main Menu Resolution, by any Chance? Because that is locked to 1024x768. The Resolution Bar in CF only affects the In-Game Resolution.

You mean a 4:3 Aspect Ratio without the Game stretching it to fit your Monitor?

I know of AMD/Nvidia Graphics Card having an option to force a 4:3 Aspect Ratio even on 16:9 Monitors in their Respective Control Centers.

For AMD, it should be under your Display Settings under "Image Scaling".

Basically uncheck it, and force it to keep the ratio.

As for Nvidia, can't say I got much of a clue.
