[CFCL Elite October] Rawness Exclusive Interview

Hi, everyone!

It's [MOD]weiwei, again. This week I am very excited to introduce to you a team that represents a country which ups a great (and appreciated) part of the Crossfire community! For those of you who have been tuning in every week for these interviews, thank you all for the support! CFCL October is underway, so please don't forget to support them next Saturday on Twitch. For the next couple of weeks, you can expect interviews of our top talented teams to be posted on here. Since there's only so many weeks in a month, yet there's more than 10 teams competing each month, unfortunately, not every team will be interviewed.

This week's interview is with CFNA's representatives all the way from Egypt... You guessed it.

Please tell us a little about Rawness!
Rawness is an Egyptian team that was formed in 2015. The Current lineup is: Youssef, Adham, Penguin, sharky, Alucard. We have won Egypt Cup 2017, and we are currently competing in CFCL Elite League. Our aim is to compete in CFS and represent Egypt in big tournaments.

Name: Youssef Hussein
Age: 20
Position: Strat-Caller
Favourite Weapon: Ak-47
I’m the Captain of Team Rawness. I've played Crossfire since 2009, won 2 LAN tournaments in Egypt: Gamer's Lobby Winter Cup2015, Egypt Cup 2017. And my goal is to Participate in CFS Grand Finals.

Name: Mohamed Sharkawy
Age: 19
Position: Back-up
Favourite Weapon: AK-47
I'm Sharkawy (sharky.). I started playing crossfire competitively since 2015 and Rawness was the first competitive team I've joined so I started from the bottom with them and I hope to keep rising.

Name: Shehab Hossam
Age: 18
Position: Sniper

I'm Shehab (*Alucard), 18 years old. I started playing crossfire 7 years ago and I started playing competitive late in 2016. Rawness was the second competitive team I played for after #BloodShed, before that I was a "Clan war hero". Currently, I'm the sniper of our team.

Age: 18
Position: Back-up
Favourite Weapon: AK-47
My name is Adham Mohamed, I started playing CrossFire 7 years ago. One of my current teammates called me 1 year ago to play for Rawness and since then everything has changed. We have accomplished so much together and with all the support that we have we're willing to go even farther.

Name: Ahmad Muhammad
Age: 21
Position: Attacker
Favourite Weapon: AK-47
I’m PENGU1N. Rifler for Rawness, I've been playing Crossfire for 7 years (competitively since 2014). I was playing for #BloodShed clan, mostly clan wars only, until I met Youssef and he invited me to Rawness. It’s been great time with them. My goal is to represent Egypt in CFS National finals.

What are your main hobbies outside of CrossFire?
Youssef: I love listening to music, swimming and watching movies.

Alucard: I’m really busy in real life studying a lot and only playing CF. My hobbies are football, running and watching movies.

Sharky.: Whenever i have time I play football and watch movies.

Adham: I like watching movies and TV series as well as reading.

PENGU1N: I love playing football with some college mates and hanging out with some friends.

I know after seeing you guys play in CFS, a lot of people are excited to see you in CFCL Elite. How does it feel to be part of CFCL Elite tournament?
We really like to compete against the top tier teams, it's pretty exciting and it feels great to be part of the biggest tournament in CFNA. We always try to do our best to stay in the best form and get better from this great experience.

What would you say is one of the greatest strengths about your team?
Definitely the teamwork and the passion to be always better. We have faced a lots of problems, but we were all dedicated to the game. We never gave up and we managed to overcome all of them. From our point of view this is the best strength point for us. Beyond the game we are all friends on real life, and we usually hang out together and have fun.

I heard you guys do something intense before every match, can you share the routine?
Yes, sure. We like to get 1k kills before every tournament to warm up and also chill together with some music.

Which team(s) has been the most challenging for you thus far in CFCL?
Exotic Gaming: We always have strong and close games against them. We really love to practice against such team for the experience and also they are always friendly and supporting us.

What is your fondest memory of CFCL thus far?
We had gained a lot of experience with all top tier teams in the elite league, most of them are challenging, one of our favourite games was playing vs. Penta Sports. We had a really good game against them in Sub Base and we managed to beat them, but we couldn’t hold the second map and they had a great comeback against us. That would have been really awesome 2 points for us if we could have won it. Also, beating !nstinct had a positive effect on us and gave us the motivation we wanted this season.

Tell us something you admire about another CFCL team or a player?
RuLegends, they are absolutely veteran players who have played together for a long time.

Also Carbw0w and GetBrikt they were strong competitors for us, we learned a lot from them and not only that, beyond the CFCL Elite x0tek supported us and helped us a lot in many situations.

Same to BABYGROOT AKA juice from Carbw0w, he has been always here to help and giving us tips to get better.

Do you have any comments/advice/words/quotes/news for your fans?
We really appreciate your support guys, it means the world. Please don’t stop supporting us!

Also we would like to thank every Egyptian who supported us to reach to that level and everyone who stayed by our side, without your support we wouldn’t reach to such level, we will do our best to stay in the best form, compete with the top tier teams and make the competition bigger in Egypt.
