Patience is a Virtue [Suggested Event]
in Suggestions
Okay, another quick event suggestion...inspired by your friendly forumer impatient neighbor, Terrify! (so impatient he is...especially for this phoenix smoke grenade)
So as the sayings go..."Patience is a Virtue" , "Good things come to those who wait" , and "Patience young grasshopper" ....so will this event!
The idea will run like this: a Reward Box that gets more valuable in time is given out to all players who complete a specific event. What that event is doesn't matter...however, the reward patience box rewards are updated every maintenance to include larger rewards.
So for example...let's say:
the initial event rewards:
-25k EP
-Patience Box 1.0
If you were to open the Patience Box 1.0 as soon as you get it, it'd reward say 5 Free Crate Tickets (FTCs). But if you hold on to it...the contents would get updated with every maintenance...so it'd go something like
Patience Box rewards over time:
-Initial reward 5 FTCs
-Reward after 1st maintenance 10 FTCs + 7 day Unlimited ZM Mag
-Reward after 2nd maintenance 15 FTCs + 7 day Unlimited ZM Mag + 7 day Tesla
-Reward after 3rd maintenance 15 FTCs + 7 day Unlimited ZM Mag + 10 Crates Tesla Zombie
-and so on and so forth until a determined stopping point.
*Rewards shouldn't be so simply tiered like that....add in other things outside of FTCs like useful items and interesting temporary weapons and so on. There should also be a CAP at some point but should be announced before reaching it so that players know about it and can 'Use/Redeem' their Patience box accordingly.
**Rewards i've listed are just an example. Actual rewards are, of course, at the GMs discretion should such a thing be implemented.
To further this you could make it so that it's required to do a smaller 'upgrade' event for it each Maintenance as well. So say the initial event is 20 Wins of S&D the 'upgrade' events in following maintenance after it is rewarded could be like 5 games of a chosen mode.
So simply put...the longer you can refrain from opening it...the better your rewards will be when you finally do open it. But to prevent accounts from just doing the initial event and then going in-active and building up rewards....players would have to do small events to qualify for the upgrade each time. This would also introduce another consistent event structure to have every update period.

Well if you mean maintenance like we have 2 a month then it's too slow to wait for 4-5 maintenance etc to get final reward. However if the patience reward is updated weekly like every Friday that would be doable for me lol to be patient till the end of the month.
The idea is good and makes it interesting not knowing whether to open it or wait but the tasks shouldn't be too hard or time consuming. +1 -

well i thought about it updating every week...but unless they code in something special (devs) then that's unlikely to happen. It'd probably be easier for them to just update the contents of the Patience Box which would have to be done every maintenance. -
To be fair I'm patient, it's just that I have an opportunity to throw down a lot of memes. And I always will throw memes down given the opportunity.
Couldn't resist
+1 event idea, not sure on the logistics of if its possible from a game side.
