October 2017 patch discussion

Well this patch is pretty obvious-some halloween content (halloween maps td+em and some items related to it)

2-3 zp crates and events that force us to no-life into cf

personally I wish for new zm map but I know that won't happen

I hope that the flying / walk trough wall / speeders / speedknifers /.... / get a fcking Client Error

For some reason it's so hard to make a script. To auto kick a player that does 5 slashes under 1 sec. Or a player that walks faster than a dread.

It can become quite difficult when you take into consideration the lagg a player might have that would make it seem for the server like he/she is moving faster

I wondered about this aswell. Like make the system react to people going over the speed that anyone should by just giving them an error cause I swear that was the case in Crossfire 1.0 and made hackers usually be more slow with their fly/speed hacks.

Well I think this would work very well with stopping people with high pings ruining the game for others if their inputs are lagging for the server and causing them to teleport around. But I doubt that would be the case since everything is usually smooth on your screen for your inputs but depending on your ping it may be an issue for others to see what you are doing ( like when the game freezes and you are still moving around but everyone is in place ) All that would need to take place is the system to know the limit that anyone should be performing an animation and give people errors if their speed doesn't come close to how the system sees it.

Lets talk about the Halloween crates, I'm not talking about the 2017 ones since everyone can just google those. CF NA usually has 2 Halloween crates, one new, one old. So what do you guys think the old one is going to be? I'm hoping for the AK Halloween + Mauser.

my guess....a new crate with 4 total weapons. The MP5, Machete, Raging Bull, and Cheytac would be my first thought. As the MP5K and Machete are the newest next to the 2017s and the Raging Bull and Cheytac are fairly popular.
Though I wouldn't mind seeing the return of some of the 2012 and 2011 weapons. And even though I'd probs never use it....i'd be down with the original MP5 Halloween as well as I do kinda like MP5s. (though others who have it would probs hate that)

I'm also banking on a new Costume Crate this year, especially with the costume contest having an In-game section as well.

I'd like to see more lamps incorporated into the maps. Tall lamps, short lamps, green lamps, maybe even a spooky lamp for halloween.

I only hope the crates from 'last road trip' and the free tickets from the 'report Card' events deliver will go smoothly(I really need these free tickets for the halloween crates lol)

I hope not. Some people spent a lot of money on that gun.

I'd be super annoyed if everyone suddenly got dual karambits for free or M1A1 Carbine etc.

(I was annoyed enough when they started giving out free AA12 temps in ZM >.>)

+1 took me 400 crates to get the m200 halloween, rather see an unreleased weapon in the MP shop.
