community please read

I've noticed that crossfire offers players a cfs qualifier tournament for a free trip to china to compete against the best teams in the world...

my question is : why is the competitive scrimming community is so inactive ...

I mean i use to play a game called soldier front we literally begged to have nationals we did from 2009 ~ 2015 and then they decided to shut down the game...

you have nationals every year + you have other invitations sometimes to play in other countries... there's still some motivation to practice and to be active competitively ... i mean what else do you want lol ...

just dont get it...

  • Just like any other game, this game has its flaws too yaknow. When you don't have headshots that do 24 and reg that is for community standards then please post a thread like this and some people get bored of this game.

  • Some old players and teams have come back, it's more active then it used to be. All that's really needed right now is for open league to start, which'll make E8 more active. Everyone at this point just wants to compete, because CFCL Elite has a limited number of teams, people are just waiting for open to start so they can make a name for themselves.

To keep about 20 teams active yeah but will it bring more people in? probably not like always. It's gonna take a lot more than that and they have to find more creative ways of promoting our competitive scene to the public. Make it easier for people to find where the competitive/scrim server is such as by renaming Alpha 5 to Competitive or something.

it's probably because the scrimming community is not communicating enough to GM's etc we simply wait to expect some changes but i gotta agree with you ... actually 20 teams might bring more people in ...

Actually a lot of people post improvement ideas and barely any of them are taken beyond consideration, I doubt it's the GMs fault or that they can do anything about it. The management ultimately decides and the GMs aren't that experienced in the competitive scene so they keep making mistakes being repeated which tilt some teams/players enough for them to ragequit. For example: CFS should of allowed roster changes and/or an extension on registration because teams disband all the time on this game. People quit and comeback often because of being tilted by these simple mistakes also things take too long. One huge thing we can look at is how long CFCL open is being delayed especially after getting peoples hopes up by announcing it way before. However if they didn't announce open then more players would of quit compared to the ones that already did. Another thing is the attitude of how the GMs handle things is terrible they expect teams to behave appropriately and just be sheeps otherwise be punished severely. How do you expect a community not to lash out on you when things are being delayed every time for YEARS. The GM team changed over the years but not all the players have and we remember what we've been through trying to be patient. If we can't use the forums to give our input using our real emotions without being punished the only thing we can resort is to quit. Players will forget temporarily when they see a tournament running with cash prizes but once a simple mistake happens they remember everything and it makes them furious to a point that they give up again. We also need Smilegate to invest in a better anti-cheat for competitive or find a private business company willing to focus their intention solely for Crossfire. I don't see that happening either because the management probably doesn't feel that investing in Crossfire NA competitive is profitable. Ignorance can't be fixed and I bet all my money that this will keep going on which is why my advice to all players is to quit. I won't be surprised if someone in the higher up gets emotional soon and wipes out the whole competitive scene on CFNA because they don't realize that things aren't always perfect.

Players and GMs both have to see through each-others perspective. We can't blame the GMs I know most things are beyond their control but the GMs can't blame players for our attitude either.
