Basically just spend time on the forums, be nice, and help people where you can. You don't have to have all the answers, just good intent, as long as you try and be helpful where you can. -
You don't make posts asking how :P
But sarcasm aside, the samaritan ribbon is something you can potentially obtain by being a helpful forum/general community member. There's another forum post about this somewhere (I'll leave it to the other guys that know where it is to post it) but it boils down to just being a nice, fun and helpful person. Those ribbons are rarely given out though, and its not something a player should ever expect to get. My advice is to just stay here and be helpful and nice for the sake of being helpful and nice.
Make friends and enjoy your stay here! -

be active on the forums ,help those who are asking and the most important thing, Enjoy your stay you see people who are gamers just like you , playing the game you are playing again just like you , dont take it as :" I will be active here and there and post as much as I can and do any useless comments to get that ribbon then quit the forums and here I got it" Never think of that because it is manually given so they are humans who decide whether you deserve it or not and believe me they know what you are thinking of while posting , never expect deserving it is easy, it is one of the hardest ribbons to get in cf , personally I liked being a forumer very much and I spend time here more than I(surprisingly) spend on facebook and simply enjoying my time
PS: I didnt get it yet -

Not forbidden, but when you go around copying what other people say, not many are going to take you seriously. -

+ Don't ask how
Asking how isn't a problem, as some people are not aware of the requirements or rules of gaining it or preventing you from gaining it. However demanding, spamming, double posting and saying I deserve it is disliked.
Example you could be helping many and still have open Infractions, you won't be getting Ribbon any time soon. If you didn't know the rule that prevents you from getting it, you won't ever get it. So understanding the requirements by "Asking How" do help many people."Avoid How Not To Get It"

[th]How Not to get it![/th]
[th]How To Lose It ![/th]
*Active and very helpful
*Answer Questions that are helpful to the user and community
*Polite and respectful to others.
*Insulting people, Racism comments
*Hackusations
*Infractions
*Answering Questions with Sarcasm.
*Spamming or Violating forum conduct or Game T&C
*Few post here and there will not give Ribbon!
*Infractions
*Insults
*Spamming random things
*Hackusations
*In Game Violations
*Being simply a "Jerk"
Infractions in the past doesn't mean you will not get it, it means you need to work harder. Prove you changed!
Many users have given good information in this thread and also the above is for anyone who needed more information on the requirements or rules. Also go through the thread below and you find helpful information

Like the Monthly Mixup, or just make another one similar to this but for the forums.
I think the conditions for the ribbon are dumb, you have to pretty much get on the GM's good sides to get it. I happen to dislike a lot of the things the GMs do and I'm not gonna keep my mouth shut for a ribbon, so I'm never getting it lmao. -

If it makes you feel better you've got a better chance than I do. =] -

Lets face it most people wont stand a chance getting it -
That moment when one of the guys who I think contributes to the community (them giveaways) the most agrees.
I dont contribute not in my eyes anyway.
I come to terms a long time ago that i will.never get the ribbon. I dont have time to contribute im the way the gms want. -

I'm not talking about the GM's needs. I feel like just by doing giveaways you're already qualified for it. There are also people always dishing out helpful responses on events and ribbon requirements. Yet they don't have the ribbon either. -

They should've named it differently then.
Something like "GM's friend" or "Admin's buddy".
Since, like u said, there are alot of active and helpfull people around but yet only a handfull of people have it.
Not saying that those who have it did anything wrong but the GM's handle this a bit biased imo since there are many people who meet all the requirements but don't have it. -
In this forum we got a freedom of speech.
That's why even we are already helpful and kind all the time but we can't avoid to
talk some bad things around, specially if we ain't feelin' good to something.
But you know, honestly being active in the forum is already a great thing to get the ribbon, but sigh!! -
