Knife players

Why do knife players ( players who play only knife game), look down while playing knife match? Aren't you supposed yo aim head? I'm interested in knife gaming can you guide me?

  • My guess is to lower the chance of someone hitting their head since it's down meaning the character's body would be bent and makes it a bit harder for their head to be hit. Like in HS Mode you may see people bhopping backwards with their head down, their head can't be seen and the chance of them being shot is lowered.

    I'm not a knifer tho.
  • What always snipin said and a few other things. A player can do a lot of fakes with their upper body such as looking to the side, doing 360s and using slashes as a bait to pull the other player in. They may also have some cosmetic items like that black hat which makes you think their head is bigger and hence closer then it actually is. Trust me when I say the amount of times I slash the body instead of the head is so many. So looking at the feet/floorallows you to zone out these distracting things and read the intentions of your opponent. If the opponent is to hit you then they must try to get in range and this range can be more accurately gauged by observing your opponent's feet as no amount stabbing or slashing is going to kill your opponent that is more than 3 metres away. So therefore the feet usually give away their intentions. Now some people like to use tricky footwork so to counter that just float around until they are at and odd angle and have to break their footwork to compensate. Overall looking at the floor is to allow you to judge the distance between you and your opponent more accurately. Tip: in the middle of a footwork battle use a spray on the floor to confuse your opponent. The more eye-catching it is the better it is.
