We are all having that issue I think since I am from the UK and also have the website issue.
Try Reinstalling CF and make sure NOTHING is blocking CF such as any Anti Viruses Softwares or Firewall itself.

- Download the newest client from our downloads site.
- Install the game from the new download.
- Add the entire crossfire folder to your antivirus exceptions.
- Re-enable realtime protection.
- Start CrossFire as Admin.

and game opened normal then when i join to room i gotta error CF CLIENT ERROR

The main reason why your getting 31_9 error in-game is because you used VPN to patch the game. In order to fix this you need to reinstall the game and uninstall the VPN that you used.
Then run CrossFire as Admin and that should work. -

look guys about 9/20 patch thing just keep trying when it says cannot download close and start again at some point it will pass it and make sure that ur connection is working good and full no one making download or anything else cuz as i saw the ping reflect with the patch i did this and it worked with me now i have another problem when game should start it says the client file detected corruption im trying to deleted all game and download again maybe it get fixed i hope also sent ticket as no one did answer me here so lets see
