Things are well with me. I was reminded of the old days yesterday so I stopped by to say hello. It was late though, but quiet! Was super stoked to see the Film Festival entries from earlier this year though! So glad they kept up with that. Also, what was that tournament esport thing they did in Toronto?! Like a LAN? That was super rad. How old is that? Either way pretty awesome.
The new game graphics for opening crates too LULZ but also amazing. When did that change happen?!
Glad to see the community still going even if quiet.

I mean there's an element of trust there. But I could send Rex a message, or any number of old mods or Juicebox, on any number of other platforms I have them on.
My old accounts were closed. And my old person account which I hid from the company records I can't remember the login info LOL.
Also with the general fiasco of forum software integration with the site and ultimately game accounts. I just didn't bother pursuing it. The situation at the time was a little.... tense? So those logins have been lost over time. -

I think you're the only old GM which still come by every now and then which is nice to see. I still have you on my friends list in-game to this day and even Hpx. lol -

FallenAngel was the first. From the Beta through to the initial release of the game in North America. I (Saidin) was added to the team as Customer Support about 3-4 months after launch maybe? Very quickly I started doing things beyond just customer support, things like the community and forum growth and connecting to Facebook and running social media etc. I have the distinction of coming up with the Ribbon system for the website (much to the chagrin of Smilegate), and the general monthly release schedules. We adapted a lot of techniques from Riot Games (LoL) and Valve (TF2). Back in those days we were pioneering a lot of the releases. Doing things that other versions of CF and other games had never done before. We even caught a few other games copying what we were doing haha. The growth for the game back then was exponential it was a crazy time to be involved!
FallenAngel handled more of the testing and communication with Smilegate on the build updates. We had some additional help behind the scenes, but we were the 2 public faces of the game.
Eventually FallenAngel moved to handle other versions of the game (in Spanish) and other tasks, and then as things progress we were both shown the door, which was fine by the way, it happens in the industry. For me it was a kick in the ass to learn new skills, and realize my own potential and a great opportunity to be involved in other games and companies.
The first moderator is a harder question, in the 5 years I worked there we had some rotating moderators, probably 15-20 in total over the 5 years? Something like that. Polleus was definitely one of the originals, Greycloak too, and Giggletron. It really starts to get fuzzy though. Some moderators would step back for a bit, and then come back to the game. I can't remember the order in which everyone became mods because to me they were just friends and good people and there was no timeline on them.
edit: also can't forget BlindRob - that guy was stellar. A highly skilled player who also made videos. A lot of inspiration for social networking and the film awards came from him. He was doing things way ahead of his curve involving streaming and stuff like that. -
How's it going Saiden! What have you been up to in the past few years? That is, if you are allowed to say. I remember those good old times of my very first CF LAN in 2013 at CFS with you there to "chaperone" us haha.
