Censorship in this Game

Earlier this week, I made a thread defending the sanctity and integrity of film festivals – not because I wanted to, but because I needed to. As a result of me speaking out, my thread got closed and I was censored. Growing up, I was taught that one of the greatest freedoms one could have is that of freedom of speech, and freedom of expression. However, these rights were violated when my thread got closed. In my opinion, there is no crime worse than that of censorship, and I am appalled that this is how z8 treats its players. I refuse to be silenced and I will continue to speak out until I get an apology from the GM’s.

I have reviewed your previous thread. Lets address a few things. Firstly, you didn't defend the sanctity and integrity of film festivals. You defended your submission. Secondly, your thread was indeed closed, but that limits others from commenting on it. You will note that it still exists on the forums, so you were not censored. The discussion was simply ended. Out in the big wide world, you absolutely have the right to freedom of speech and freedom of expression. However, while you have the right to free speech, you are not protected from people thinking you foolish for some of the things you may say. I'm not worried about your refusal to be silenced. I can silence you. I have that power. It is a great power to hold, one that may corrupt me some day. I may even censor people. Oh dear.

However, if you want an apology, I have no problem saying sorry. I am Kanadian. Its what I do. So in the spirit of Canada:

Sorry you feel that way, bud. Contest, winners, submissions, and all things related to the Film Festival are now done and will not be changed. Thanks for your submission though!
