I think Saidin was the first GM and I remember mod_8 or something as the first mod? Could be very wrong.

I think that the first GM for Z8Games (not subagames) was either [GM]FallenAngel or [GM]Saidin.

Dude, GM's don't get their weapons by winning them in crates or when they're released! They can put any gun they want in their accounts with a simple click
For example, Grumpy can put a Golden M4A1 right now in his account though it no longer exists. -
It's amusing seeing these new random egys pretending they know everything, though it's obvious to everyone they're here since a couple weeks or even less. First a random claims that Odeeb is not an egy or a GM, and now they're suggesting that first GM was Odeeb or Castiel. smh

I know right. Greywolf was a pretty recent GM to be included amongst those names. I think he joined even after Castiel, Odeeb, Celestine, but probably was the first one to leave. If I remember correctly, though I doubt, FallenAngel was the first Game Master of this game, whereas Saidin was the first Game Manager followed by Juicebox. I'm not sure but probably Rex, 9, Rory and LobsterMTS were the first MODs. I'd put my bets on Rex though.
Edit: I think even though Fallen and Saidin had different roles on forums, being Game Master and Game Manager, perhaps they both got involved with this game at the same time. -

There was a few but like I said earlier. The only one that was active on forum was Saidin, sometimes another would pop in and then go back into the shadows. -
Some of the first MODs to my knowledge were; [MOD]D34d3y3, [MOD]Greycloak, [MOD]Icely, [MOD]Delacos, [MOD]Godish, [MOD]Lebossdu.
However, none of them are currently part of the MOD team.
Probably a few of these would be considered "first", although there wasn't really a single first moderator. Goddish (an incredible person and player btw) was modded in 2009 to deal with the opening days of the Z8 forums from what I can remember. He himself was not on duty for very long, eventually just went MIA without saying much. Icely was 2010 iirc, and so were most of the others. Deltaco was active in '09, but was not modded by Saidin until later as well. MOD Hi is another oldie that took part in the early days following beta and into 2009 as pretty much an unofficial moderator, but not sure if I remember when he was modded. He eventually was modded and currently holds the record of the highest ever post count by any forum user on a single account, so there's that. Going down on memory lane sucks btw.
Oldest moderator currently with a mod tag would be Polleus. Natt would be second after Polleus, despite the order shown on the forums. Natt had his tag removed due to inactivity, but restored when he returned. When I quit the game, he already had it back and was active. -

Doing things that other versions of CF and other games had never done before. We even caught a few other games copying what we were doing haha. The growth for the game back then was exponential it was a crazy time to be involved!
FallenAngel handled more of the testing and communication with Smilegate on the build updates. We had some additional help behind the scenes, but we were the 2 public faces of the game.
Eventually FallenAngel moved to handle other versions of the game (in Spanish) and other tasks, and then as things progress we were both shown the door, which was fine by the way, it happens in the industry. For me it was a kick in the ass to learn new skills, and realize my own potential and a great opportunity to be involved in other games and companies.
The first moderator is a harder question, in the 5 years I worked there we had some rotating moderators, probably 15-20 in total over the 5 years? Something like that. Polleus was definitely one of the originals, Greycloak too, and Giggletron. It really starts to get fuzzy though. Some moderators would step back for a bit, and then come back to the game. I can't remember the order in which everyone became mods because to me they were just friends and good people and there was no timeline on them.
edit: also can't forget BlindRob - that guy was stellar. A highly skilled player who also made videos. A lot of inspiration for social networking and the film awards came from him. He was doing things way ahead of his curve involving streaming and stuff like that.
