A question for the 7 GMs

I don't mind if you close this as long as you read my question.
It seems that every time you guys host these events like film festivals, halloween costume contest, the radiant event, if it involves you folks picking the choices, it immediately goes horrible and everyone complains, including me. I mean it's really hard for me to accept some guy farming mutation mode winning. The killreel video clearly won because the player was playing a new mode which would promote the game if it was picked. In other words, promoting the game is the way to go.

Enough ranting, now here's my question.
Why don't you guys just do votes from here on for events like this, for example, the storyline gets a vote of its own, the effects section gets a vote of its own, etc.
It'd really give the community a chance at these things, and people would complain less. Sure people would complain that people are making multiple accounts, but that can be stopped by limiting voting to those with perhaps having at least 100 posts.

It just feels like you guys were ready for the hate before the event started, as if you knew it was coming, the second I complained, I got a response from both you and cinder. The choices you guys picked were poor, and that doesn't seem to be a mistake. If you guys really do want these events to be successful, do a voting for each section. It'd be more fitting.

We don't do votes for everything because then it just becomes a popularity contest, and the person with the most friends will win.

We expected complaints because no matter who we picked, someone else would complain that they didn't win. Like they always do. Like you are now doing. Please do not create multiple threads about a single issue. If you have further issues, feel free to send a ticket.

The choices have been made. Better luck next time we run one of these.
