HGW stuck at Step 3.
This the 4th thread in this section, We are not getting any help with our problems. We don't even know if the GMs saw it, We are missing out on events and attendance. The support is also not helping in solving the problem and no it's not the problem of our ISP my friend who uses the same isp as me and has no problems. I've tried everything Blacklisting crossfire in antivirus/firewall, restarting the game, restarting the system, Reinstalled the game several times, Even contacted my ISP they said the have not changed a thing, it is same as it was from the last year.

Yeah sorry i added it to whitelist not black list and tried win 7 mode too didn't work. -
Absolutely same issue here. Stuck at Step 3 since the game got patched a day back. Everyone I know (friends I play) with are facing the exact same issue. Nothing to do with re-install or admin run neither ISP changes. Things I would like an answer from a GM or a MOD
1. Has there been any IP region restrictions set after the august patch?
2. Is Asia Region (India) part of this sudden restriction?
Because guess what, I tried a VPN connection, just to check the same and BINGO it got passed all the HGW steps and I got the login screen. I obviously did not login because I have invested too much time and money on CF, that I would like things to be the way it was. I don't want to use/will not use a VPN just to play this game that I have been playing since more than 8years.
So yes the problem either lies with the Game Watcher (HGW) or with CF.
Raised a support ticket and got the standard do this..do that..then check and check that..reply. I highly doubt if the Support staff even read the complete issue.
Request someone to look into this. Thanks. -
