Window Mode

I use to be able to window mode last night but now I can't and when I try it says "successful" but still full screen and only thing it changes is it makes my screen a lot darker when I try to be on window mode.

If what the TheShadowRO suggests doesn't work for you, you can try forcing it to start up in window mode by changing the property in the System.ini file. ScreenMode=1 will start up in window mode and ScreenMode=0 will be fullscreen. Just tried swapping between the two on the latest update and works fine for me.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong always was able to window mode fine but today it just says "successfully saved" and still stays on full screen but makes my screen darker and gamma goes to 0. Guess gotta play full screen from now on.

Is it within a folder tried searching System.ini in search bar in Cf folder but said nothing found.

It should be inside the CrossFire folder in the documents folder, same place where your ingame screen shots are saved.

Found it they both already say 1 but for some reason in game won't take action and just stays at full screen no matter what I do. Oh well thanks for both of your help.

Hmm, cant think of much more you can try a part from a reinstall which I doubt you want to do hah. What was the resolution set at in the System.ini file?

Says 1 for resolution unless it's not suppose to.

oh okay will give it a try.

delete the settings of the crossfire folder where youre documents are C -> USER -> MY DOCUMENTS -> CrossFire -> all .dat files and .ini files

and start your game again.
Do not re-install CF , it will not remove your settings folder

Thanks for the help! After closing and reopening CF like 30 times it randomly worked.

Is there still a way to have the game launcher in window mode and then when you join a game it goes to full screen. I know you used to be able to do that a long time ago.
