My suggestion is to see a return in the 'Christmas in July' event for this month. What do you guys think?

I'd like to see it again. I bet it'll happen on 2nd update (and that they have it planned already) like it did last year :P

Judging from last year's annouchement, only the crates you'll buy during the event will count, so you might as well open those old crates now.
