Server lags external or internal problem?

Since some weeks i try to figure out what could be the reason for the huge lags / server crashing problems etc. I dont have to explain that this is extremly annoying. But there are alot of Players still playing actively.

I justed wanted to hear some opinions if these problems are made by the instability of the serverfiles or could it be caused by DDOS Attacks on these servers. I could remember times when i got dc 3-4 times in a row i got blocked for 5 or 30minutes. (Which could be Anti DDOS Strategy)

I also know that Z8Games can nothing do about this issue, because its the task of Smilegate Holdings. It seems like that Z8Games is just managing the Database(Support,Events etc.) and installing new content on their serverfiles.

It happens to me I start play for couple hours normally with out lag then I start getting pings .

Personally, I rarely get any server problems. I can play the whole day and have nothing bad happen, server related. I think its mostly people with a ping higher than 50, not living close to a server or with bad internet that seem to be having issues, lul

well you play on NA servers, we have to play on UK servers

I play on NA servers living a good 30 to an hour away with 18 ping and good internet and I get disconnected from rooms or a simple browsing for channels gets me a disoonnection, I even shared some on the error thread a player made and we got similar disconnections for the most part and he is from UK so prettty sure it's server related. Plus on other games it works fine without a problem but on CF it's a different story.

You don't have to play on UK servers bunch come to NA with 300 ping that make it more fun. :]
