Dead Modes.

Hello.

Would be nice to include in your events more often some of the modes that's dead and no one playing such like:
~ Bombing Mode
~ Suppression Mode
~ Escape Mode
~ Spy Mode
~ Captain Mode
~ Super Soldier [TDM / S&D]
~ Wave Mode

PS: The current event "Sniper Week" has some of the modes and that's nice, keep doing that in the next events as you mixing modes in the same event.

  • We understand your point, but also we try to have a balance in events not to force people to play specific modes specially if they don't like them or if they prefer other modes. We will try to include events for those modes in the upcoming months
  • I'd have to agree with Grumpy here. Those modes are dead for a reason and I do not enjoy being forced to play modes that have been very much dead for a long time just to complete an event. I'd rather complete events that focuses on modes you can find regardless there is an event on them or not, like FFA, TD and S&D. You can throw GM in there too, a lot of people love that mode.

A potential compromise is to provide options. Events where you can choose to play X or Y as options. Just a thought.

Thank you for considering this suggestion. :)

BTW some of these modes i don't like to play, but it would be fun to do some events with friends/clannies in some of these boring modes, it's not like we will play it as daily missions everyday.. it would be for the event period, like Spy Event was fun "Lag & Disconnection aside"

    Like this idea.
  • Honestly part of the reason these modes are dead isn't even because of the gameplay being dull but rather the fact that most of them only have 3 maps at best. If each of those modes got a couple more maps introduced over the next year they'd stay alive. And with new maps for those modes you could do an event that celebrates the new maps and the modes each month while having another event running for those who don't like that particular mode and for those that just like to play a lot could complete both if they have the time.

Now that being said...Wave mode game play is pretty dull especially in later stages with the super long respawns not to mention it's almost impossible to find a balanced room usually level 30s fully gemmed on one side and low level nabs on the other with a couple spots open.... And I find captain to be boring myself because 1v1s are just boring in general...then on top of that it takes so long. (and it has a cheap mechanic that the higher health player can just run and hide and win the round even if they have just 1 HP more than the other player. and since the player that won the round before keeps their HP it's easy for the new opponent to hide in base). SS TDM would be better if maps were slightly larger and special cooldowns were increased a bit so that it wasn't such a spam fest.

But yea it'd be great to see more Escape, Suppression, Bombing, Shadow (i know it's not on OP's list but it's a decent mode that doesn't have enough attention IMO), and SS S&D. Even more so if new maps ever get introduced for those.
  • Well, I personally do feel that with the exception of Captain Mode, the Mechanics of the Modes just end up feeling cheap.

I wouldn't even bat an eye for Escape Mode/Shadow Mode for example, even if it did have 10 Maps each.

I've always been of the opinion that instead of pushing out Mode after Mode, they should just focus on releasing maps for TDM/S&D/EM/GM/HMX(The Widely Accepted Mutant Mode) and ZM, instead of making me play Modes which I simply do not enjoy.
Captain Mode was something I quite liked, but I can't play it, because no one really likes it and people only join to leave shortly after.

While it is nice to dabble in other, not so actively played modes every once in a while, It's probably best to just keep things on the known formula, more often than not.

It happened so many times in the past, the Event is over, and the Mode in question just slips into obscurity. Big Head Mode is it's latest victim.
