Thought I'd try this game again, played it years ago but it opens in the wrong screen mode. Cant get to any settings to change the resolution.

Any suggestion other then uninstall it and forget it again.

Do you mean when the XIGN finishes loading and a square black screen comes up ready to launch the game but the screen gets inverted/tilted majority of the time bottom right corner, where you can see only half of the log in screen. If that's what you mean I usually get it if I press/open my browser or task manager as the game is being launched and to avoid just don't press anything until it fully loads up the login screen.

Shortly after I first got my new laptop CF would be fine-ish until I tried to go into a match. During the loading screen when it would go to change resolution to my ingame resolution, since lobby uses a standard resolution that's often times different, it would force itself beyond the bottom right corner of my display thus I could only see most of what was going on but couldn't see critical information such as HP and Ammo and the what not. I started playing on a windowed mode with a small resolution so that I could see everything...but eventually found out that this was being caused by the fact that my computer has a display setting that allows you to adjust the size of apps and texts from 100% to 125%, 150% or even higher while keeping the same resolution. Mine was defaultly set at 125% but worked with CF for like the first week of playing on my laptop but it seemed when I activated my Nvidia experience and it customized settings for all games that it broke that logic when playing a game thus causing this problem. But anyways...the solution was to turn that display setting in my computers settings to 100%.

Your issue may be different. But figured this might give some insight.
I believe there's another issue similar to mine but caused by something else completely different. If you could provide more details somehow of your issue we could probably better help you with this. (A picture of how it's displaying would be awesome. and your display settings for in the game if you can get to them)
