Ranked match placement doubt

Can anyone explain how is the placement done after you complete the 10 games? How do you know if you will get Silver or Gold after the 10 games for placement are played? Is there a list or a set of achievements that one must complete in order to be in these ranks?

It most likely ranks you depending on your KD and your Wins/Losses. But I think it prioritizes Wins when they do the placement.

So winning just about all 10 Placement Games with a decent KD are likely to net you a gold.

The calculation is done server-side. It is probably based on MVPs, kill/death ratio, bomb plants/defuses, number of rounds won, number of games won etc.

No one on the forums can tell you with 100% certainty which rank you'll get, and there is no way of calculating it yourself.

Yeah I ask this because unfortunately since its full of hackers I can get some wins but my KD isn't the best since the hacker either cleans the opposite team or destroys my team. If i could land Gold I could ride it until the end with little demotions or just showing up once a week to keep that ranking. Thanks anyway.

Winning is crucial to climb up the ranks. It doesn't matter much what your KD is. You can have 15-0 kills and lose a game and you'll still get deranked. But you can have 0-4 and you win a game, your rank will go up. Proof of this is those high ranking people that pay hackers to join their side and kill all opponents. That way even without hacking or having to kill anybody, they get higher ranks and, in the end, perm weapons.

To be honest I don't understand why people go through such efforts and whatnot to get some meagre reskins of your everyday CF stock weapons. As far as I'm concerned a perm nade is all that's good from the rewards. I'm not gonna use the M4platinum if I have M4 IB or OB, I'm not gonna use AWM plat if I have AWM UG or Barett OB, I'm not gonna use AK Knife Plat if I have other better AK reskins or VIPs. In the end, all that time and effort results in some reskinned weapons covered in dust in storage.

1. Win
2. Ace/(mvp)
3. Kills (at least in TDM/FFa)

^ In that case the grenade wouldn't be too appealing, either. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the ranked grenade does less damage than a regular grenade. Looks nice for sure, though.

I think it doesnt depend on your KDR
I remmember an SnD game where my kills where 14 and deaths 5 and i was the Ace but i had a noob team and we lost , and at the end i lost rank points

And that is why I'm in for the nades. I think it's reasonable to have a perm nade other than your stock GP nades without having to spend ridiculous amount of dollars collecting sets and stuff. Plus I managed to get that grenade with only 6-8 games on 26th May during Ranked Gauntlet event. So being able to get a perm that easily without getting banged by hackers is always appreciated.
