  • As expected, team SuperValiant (formerly known as VG who won the 2016 CFS competition) remains as the undisputed champions with TGF (Team Genius Fighters) placing in a distant second. I have high expectations for their new team member ANKE who replaced 4mE and I expect them to win CFGI and CFS (as always) since the gap is only growing between the current best and second best ... (Denis leaving FlipSid3 isn't the end of the world but replacing him with Jin is fairly impacting when he only played for FlipSid3 in the national qualifier and in turn phaze from PENTA at the time was picked over him for CFS)

    No

Jin isn't on F3, and you clearly don't understand how good he is
  • No

Not anymore according to phaze. Jin is in F3's lineup!

And if Jin we're as good as you speak of then why did F3 change their roster for the CFS competition ? Jin could've been picked over Denis or Vizee but instead phaze supplanted him in his place. As far as I can see you must know more than I do or even F3 themselves as to why we overlooked Jin's ability to perform, no ?

  • That post is from May 24; they shortly after replaced jin with flexx and have been playing with him ever since. Thus, their current lineup is: phaze, seven, mason, flex, and snox

Jin was replaced because he wasn't able to travel to China due to his work schedule at the time
    Jin's ability to perform

There's a lot more to being a successful team than having just 5 good fraggers. Sometimes playstyles and attitudes just don't work out. But as far as pure skill, jin is one of the best

    Yes

    Yes

    Lol burn'd
  • no matter how good jin is he isnt gonna get F3 cfs champion. what im trying to say is denis is not a bad player, they just need to develop way better strats and work way better as a team, replacing players wont get anywhere

You say that but from the matches I've seen between the best and second best team I have NEVER seen FlipSid3 won an entire game once against Super Valiant in these tournaments ...

Team SV simply has more room for error than the likes of team F3 in these 2/3v1 situations along with their players having a higher chance of getting a full ACE. (it's closer to being more scary than amazing how good these guys are when most of their players have won the CFS competition at least twice with 18 taking the record by winning CFS 3 times!)

It can't be denied on an individual basis the skill level of SV's team members are higher than that of F3's. There's literally a higher chance of an F3 player losing a 1 on 1 firefight against a SV player in a S&D game. Even F3 doesn't have that much confidence in themselves when they are trying as much as possible to stack up at least a 2 man cell up against a lone player from the chinese team or try to get the numbers advantage only to lose it in the end. I've also noticed that the european team try to play in a closer proximity more often than their rival team which makes them less flexible and cover less area of the map. I can understand their logic in this that there's arguably less risks in that formation and that there's a better chance of trading kills on the stacked side but that greatly limits their options on the multi-pronged entries or assaults.

If F3 had better fraggers instead they wouldn't have to constantly worry so much about conserving player life or play the guessing game to get the best opening/defense on a bomb site because like it or not I see this as a one sided relationship in which only a higher baseline of skill can raise the limits of what a team can possibly achieve. With teamwork your in game life is at the mercy of your teammates covering you as much as it is at the mercy of the enemies aim or other factors outside their control ...

Flexx replacing Denis is an even bigger deal when we all know how he got squashed by SV at the IEM Expo ...
