Is this pc good solely for cf?
SO I WANT A PC SOLELY FOR CF CAUSE I LOVE THIS GAME.
I WANNA SPEND NO MONEY ABOVE HIGH MONEY.
- Dell Optiplex 980 Small Form Factor Desktop
- Intel Core i5 650@3.20GHz,
- 4GB DDR3 RAM,
-250GB HDD and licensed Windows 7 Professional from a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher
OR THIS:
- Dell OptiPlex 980 SFF Desktop Computer with 19-Inch LCD monitor Black/Silver
- Intel Core i5 650 @3.2 GHz
- 8GB DDR2 750GB HDD,
- Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit WiFi Keyboard Mouse Speaker
I KNOW SOME PEOPLE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT YOU NEED A GOOD VIDEO CARD OR SOMETHING TO RUN GAMES. HOWEVER, I THINK THEY THINK IM THINKING ABOUT BIGGER GAMES LIKE CALL OF DUTY OR SOMETHING . . . I JUST WANT TO RUN A 16 PLAYER MAX CROSSFIRE ROOM WITH A MINIMUM 80 FPS.
WOULD THIS DO?

Both specs are better than mine, my pc is 10 years old and running fine I get around 100-120 fps.
I'd go with option two, even though they almost the same more memory is always nice.
Not sure if this helps but this is specs for CF: http://crossfire.z8games.com/download.html -

What about a 1 TB hdd, 8 GB RAM, and intel core 2 duo processor? -
like d1 says about having i5 and video card isn't that good your fps might not be too good. I got a laptop also but never game on it because of the video card it's not intended for gaming anyways just for schooling. My desktop is HP Pavillion a6634f you can look at the specs, I know its old(10years)+ but my baby still kicking.

It comes with an integrated graphic card (Intel hd graphics) generally the integrated graphic cards with I5 and I7 do good over 100 fps on CF. These integrated graphic cards can't perform good on games like CSGO and will give you fps lag. However that answers your question yes it should be giving you more than 80 fps on CF however I would recommend reaching for more fps for smoother game-play a consistent 200. CF is a processor based game while other games demand a better graphic card.
How much is the cost of the computer and your budget I can help you pick something out better for sure that can perform better. -
I say get the first one. If you ever feel like you want to move on to a bigger game you can always get a budget video card like a GTX 750 Ti and 4gb more ram.
I agree with that choice however he needs to say how much the cost and what his budget is if its even worth it because I know most retailers are rip-offs you have to look carefully.
