Paying on a date

I just found this on facebook and I lol'd so hard

So what do you think?on a date-the both sides should pay 50-50 or the man have to pay for every thing?

Okay, that makes more sense. I would have told the guy, "Yeah, sure let me just run to the lady's room." and walked out of the restaurant.

If it is the type of restaurant that does $35 steaks and the girl gets an $8 salad it is her fault.

I'd say it depends on whether you're actually in a relationship with them or not. If I wasn't in a relationship with them, I'd pay for my own, or split it if theirs was more expensive by a small amount. If they were a girlfriend/boyfriend/whatever I'd pay for it.

If I pick the place I pay for it, if my gf picks the place she pays for it. There's no way I can pay for every date without going broke.

lol I would say the opposite. If it's the first/2nd date, I think the guy should at least OFFER to pay. After the 2nd/3rd, it should be split 50/50.

Exceptions to this would be if one of the people is incredibly wealthy and can afford to pay every time.
