Yep it modifies the Game a simple Screenshot im guessing could get you banned.

Changing the lighting settings on your mouse won't affect the game in any way whatsoever. Unless you're using mouse macros then you should be 100% safe. I use a gaming mouse (Razer Naga) and I have the buttons remapped (Sensitivity up/down, in-game text macros such as f6, f7 etc) and it hasn't affected me whatsoever. So long as you're not gaining an advantage over other players it's 100% safe.
