Does the Survival Of The Fittest ribbon count through coupons?

hey guys, appie here,

i wanted to ask if buying revive tokens through the coupon shop counts towards the 'Survival Of The Fittest Ribbon' or not.

it costs 10 coupons and u get 5 Revive Tokens each time.

meaning that you'll reach 1000 revive tokens after using 2000 coupons.

in the description it says "Tokens from events and promos dont count."

But does the coupon shop count as an event or promo or not? that's my question.

Currently they only count through zp purchase.
