Under what circumstances will an IP Ban be necessary?
So, I've been experiencing some hilarious players on this game. But it's not the regular QQers who curse you out and rage quit. The players I've been playing with consistently join the opposite team, consistenly tbag when they have the chance, and consistently put my name in their conversations. I don't respond because it's a waste of time, and I try to block their chat but I just can't play right with people targettiing me and stalking me ingame.
So, if I were to report them for harassment with proof and everything they might possibly be banned. But that won't work out. The thing is, these people don't like me big time. They make alternative accounts and just follow me around and I can't play in peace. Not saying their getting in my head, but it's a little unnecessary and getting rid of them would be nice.
Would an IP ban be used in this case, if no matter what account you ban them on they use different accounts and stalk you/tbag you/harass you in other ways? Because if you can't get rid of them by a simple account ban, IP ban should be the next choice. I've heard that harassment is totally unacceptable by the community, and so I was just wondering if an IP ban would actually be used in this case?
You all might say I'm a whimp, but trust me I'd be glad to meet anyone in real life and see how much trash talking y'all are able to do. But on a game, I know there are limitations. I can't just punch them through the screen, so they go on a psychological offensive or whatever you want to call it. And it's just unnecessary. I don't have to play this game with people harassing me. No one should.

I doubt anyone would get IP banned due to harassment. 14 day bans are probably the best you can do.
You never explained how exactly they keep stalking you, but if they only stalk you by seeing your IGN in game, you could always name change in case you're not emotionally tied to your current IGN. -
I think an IP Ban is reserved for serious matters like Multiple Bans of different accounts with the Same IP address.
Issues like these stalk you/tbag you/harass you in other ways?"are hard to prove from your end it's the same user with alt account. Best to just ignore them. Disable Public Chat, Block Whispers only Friends whispers. Block those users at the end of game, they will eventually run out of accounts or give up. However Main accounts I recommend Report for Harassment, if Proven and banned on the Main Temporary and then if they continue to harass on that Main, I am sure will lead to Permanent Ban.
If you cannot be bothered to report or cannot handle the pressure or fed up of reporting. You can change the IGN, that would make it impossible for them to track you down. -
' wrote:K[illa;4454002']They Hardware ban but everyone knows how to bypass this, IP bans can be bypassed as well. Over half the worlds internet gets a new IP every night or every other day.
Or they just plug off and then plug in router again and they have new IP :P
