Shovel Obsidian Beast Follow Up Attack

I recently purchased the Shovel OB and in it's description it says that "Follow up attack" requires you to hold the right mouse button to perform a special attack. When I used the shovel, the RMB would always attack in the special way, so holding the button down didn't do anything. Not only that but the attack itself seems to stall for about half a second before actually doing it's thing. I personally found the shovel very difficult to use in that state and had to turn off the follow up attack for it so that it would attack like any other regular shovel. Does anyone know if it is meant to be this way? Because to me it honestly feels like something isn't right. Don't get me wrong though, when you turn off that follow up attack thing, this shovel is a killer. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

When you check that perk, 2 thing changes. The slash animation, and the effect when you kill someone (screen shakes or stops for half a sec). They named it wrong. And I don't think there is anything wrong with the slash (the one that takes a long time), it seems like it has a bit more range so that is why it's slower.

Maybe, but my main issue isn't that it's slower. My issue is that it has a little hiccup before attacking which throws you off a little bit.
