EGL is the Only Consistent Tournament

Why do they not have a prize or have the support of our Mods or "Competitive Organizers"? I don't understand, they are running a tournament helping keep the scene active and they can't get any codes or anything to give out as a prize?

We used to get support by the GMs but that all stopped in January when we were all under "evaluation" never got a word back on when that ended or not or if we passed (my guess is we didn't). But a prize would be nice. The NA side of EGL is inactive due to lack of participation but the UK scene is always thriving. Perm zp guns seems like a stretch but maybe a bit of zp weekly would be nice? I don't know what would you guys like as prizes if we were to get any

Yeah Anything would be nice. To show some support. Also can you add my team to this weekends EU EGL I signed up on the thread and on the webpage but we don't show as a registered team.

The admin that egl has now doesnt have permissions yet to edit that "EU EGL" post I believe. So your team won't be registered to that post. Just go the ts on sunday.

The current EGL UK Admin (Salo) has permission to edit and view the google drive that the registrations are sent to.

when it will be with good admin , and fair enough it will be with prize, but not an admin ban players for no reason(alt tab XDDD ) and dq them for no reason

Yeah give EGL prizes so when CFCL is back we have two different tournaments to compete in. No one signs up for EGL NA because of no prizes but that'll change if prizes are added.

I think player run leagues are fine, but I don't think you should feel obligated for your prizes to come from somewhere else. Other leagues have shown that you can find sustainable prizing structures of your own if you really wanted to make a prize structure that wasnt just relying on a handout from Smilegate. Smilegate is putting their time, effort, and resources towards CFCL. I understand not having a league all year round with prizes is unfortunate, but at the end of the day for a community thats currently not a very large one in NA it makes sense. Not to mention with leagues that aren't run in house you also have to factor in they could not be ran to the expectations and standards of an in house event, and the integrity of the admins may not be something they are willing to support without knowing these individuals well. I support community leagues, but there are ways to make it work without playing the blame game for lack of sign ups.

We don't expect a prize just saying it would be nice, I just think people are frustrated that they are waiting for CFCL to show that's all.

Something I think would be nice for next season of CFCL is maybe have ZP cups during the off season (We could call it CFCL Pre-Season or something) to keep people around and active, and also use that as a competitive gauge for teams leading into the next season, if we are to do invites to pro. I agree the waiting is unfortunate though, but hopefully it will be worthwhile when it all comes together.
