Don't use it if you don't like it?

I've got all the current GP crate guns bar this one because I haven't been home since the update, and I don't think I've even used one of them in weeks.
Mostly because I don't like many of them. I like KSG, R93, Deagle Canada, Deagle Camo, and that's about it.

On the other hand, it's quite powerfull, so get over it. Oh and there's a crap load of M14 reskins, I'm sure you'll get your hands on one of those eventually...

Well, it blows the M14 Vanilla out of the water and it's GP, so I'd personally say "Skin be damned, it still is good".

I still prefer the look of the Original M14 over anything that came after it.
