Slaughter Tickets

Yeah, if you read the information in the game itself, it tells you that the more tickets you have, the higher your win rate.
I forgot the exact numbers, but it's tiered. Just off the top of my head, I believe 30 slaughter tickets is like a 75% chance? So either buy 30+ at one time or don't bother buying at all. This isn't like crates, where you buy 10 or 20, don't win anything, buy another 10 or 20. If you only ever buy 20 slaughter tickets, your win rate is never the highest rate.
Also, the more difficult the zombie, the higher chance of getting a better item. I recommend using them by joining a game that has already started (i.e. obviously the zombies you encounter at wave 29 is going to be a better choice than zombies at wave 2).
Supposedly headshots help too, but can't confirm.
-edit- I personally recommend using them on ZM3, Nightmare mode. That way, even Wave 1 monsters are tough. That's also the mode where I won Aurora in 10 tickets. -

Well, I remember being told a long time ago (and I also applied this, with doubful results) that doing higher combos in certain waves with a high number of zombies on them at ZM maps that have these characteristics, will give you better chances of winning something from slaughter tickets.
And well, as stated above, the more tickets you buy, the more your chances of winning something increase (this will help you a lot, more than using any tip). Some examples of the usual maps and strategies used back then were:
- Dinner Theather (wave 11 preferably): Mutants will come out from the front area of the map. All you have to do is throw a TH Grenade when they are getting closer between themselves and shoot them till you use 1 full clip of your bullets (don't reload at any time). It is preferably using a MG for this purpose.
- EMD Lab (either wave 20 or wave 27): At wave 20 you use "F" Button (Fal Camo + right button) on the hordes of crawlers that comes from the top of the map. At wave 27 you do the same with the gorilas that comes from the 1st Floor (1F) of the map.
- Devastated City (wave 1 and waves 25+): when you kill alone all the zombies from this wave (wave 1). At higher waves you can use special weapons to kill and get higher combos. If I recall correctly, you can also shoot crawlers (the ones that reload your weapon when you kill them) to keep shooting and get higher combos.
I know these methods aren't confirmed as 100% succesful and they are old ones (considering we have ZM2, ZM3 and some other ZM1 maps now) and also this system is luck-based aswell, but the main idea could be to deal great amounts of combos and kills to get better chances.
Also as an extra advice, I recommend you using your tickets in a room with friends (they can help you, to let you kill all the zombies at a certain wave, for example).
Hope it can help you at some point. And also, Good luck with that. ~
