crossfire error do you want to report

whenever I try to get into a game it says "Error do you want to report" anyone know a fix?

  • Hello, I have a big problem when I start crossfire everything is fine but when I start a game mode it leaves me kick and tells me ( CROSS FIRE ERROR error , do you want to raport ? ) help me please

    I have a permanently error after loading the last step of joining the game (Error do you want to report Error?)

    Core i5
    RAM 8.00GB
    A very huge free storage left

    It may not be my policy and not my job to guide users (where I am a user too)
    But to solve this error (Error do you want to report?)
    If you are windows 10 user (I don't know if it works with another version of Windows!)
    To solve it:
    Open settings > graphics > make it "Auto-set" instead of "Manual setting"
    So your PC will tell you the resolution you have to set to play in a full screen game ... For example (1280x1024) *THIS STEP HAPPENS WHEN YOU JOIN A GAME*
  • same problem. Ive tried everything. reinstalled the game several times due to trying different things made me not being able to even open the launcher.
  • Usually this error is related to '' Can't find legacyshader.fxo '' (press alt+tab go back on game you will see black screen and this error message)

    Go to ... My Documents \ Cross Fire \
    Delete files with .dat extension

    Update all your drivers - especially video card drivers

    Run game as administrator and compatibility mode for windows 7 (No matter if you are using windows 7)

    Now go back on game - all your game setting will be on default (sound setting, game rez, gamma, mouse speed .. etc)
    Customize your settings BUT leave gamma on default at 50

    Replay if work or not.

    Now cant open launcher lol. time to reinstall

    t error is related to game rezolution, usual fix: 1. change game rezolution and play few games on another rez.
    2. Manually reset game setings to default: go to My Documents\Cross Fire\ (location where game print screens are saved) , select all files with .dat and .ini and delete those files - then start game (should start with default game settings) set all your game preferances just don't modify gamma settings, save.
    3. Right click to partition C:\ (where your windows is installed) - choose "Properties" click "Disk cleanup", check "DirectX Shader Cache" , ok (this will delete DirectX Shader cached files)

    All of our systems are currently running normally and most of the users are able to play normally. If you are still facing issues, please try the following steps for basic troubleshooting:
    - Check if your computer currently meets our minimum system requirements at http://crossfire.z8games.com/download.html
    - Restart your computer and trying again. Occasionally, anomalies may occur the longer a system has been up and running. If the problem is fixed after a restart, this may explain the situation you are experiencing.
    - Check your DirectX version and the date on key system drivers such as your network card and graphics card to ensure that everything is up to date.
    - Check any hardware or software that interacts with your internet connection between your computer and your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Routers, firewalls, anti-virus software and the like can occasionally interfere with your connection to CrossFire. You should provide or make "exceptions" (put CrossFire in the list of safe programs) so that the game can pass through any security settings you may have enabled.
    - Scan your computer for any viruses and spyware's, and remove them. Viruses or spyware may also cause issues for the game.
    - Close down any applications which may be running prior to launching CrossFire as these may interfere with the running of the game, please check you have enough RAM available while playing.

    If you have any serious difficulties loading the game, we recommend you uninstall the game using the official uninstaller located on your start menu.

    Then please go to the main Crossfire website and download our newest client version on the download option page: http://crossfire.z8games.com/download.html

  • For me the Error usually happens mid game. Sometimes a couple games in a row and sometimes I can play for an hour and all good. This has never happened until the June,2020 patch. Especially the first day it was unplayable. Is there a plan for a new update patch because no way is this related to my computer or settings...
