In Game Quality = Dumpster

Tried this question a while ago in support section and got no straight answer, figured whoever (if any) still plays competitively might know what I'm talking about. Been away from Cf for a couple years, came back to new updates and weird frame drops, stutter, etc. Just not smooth gameplay. Used to be fine, dunno what changed. Anyone know what i mean? PC specs below (the ones that are usually relevant at least), just in case.

Im running cf in 800x600 (not for performance but just the way i used to play). Any feedback would be cool beans.

Same with me. I get screen freezes while playing once in awhile and my rig is good. I do agree though that CF was more stable before. Way more stable.

Crappy to hear but at least I'm not the only one. I did enjoy this game which is why i wanted to mess around on it again but its annoying to even pub with the unreliable frames. Just seems weird my setup can handle brand new games in full resolution, triple digit framecounts, on ultra (for the most part) and then stutters on CF.

Me and my team FPS freeze exactly at the same time been happening for a long time now.

i still get quick screen freezes and annoying fps drops some times ....
I am still not sure if this is Crossfire's fault , because i got another cheap pc without a gpu ( dont know the cpu but it must be good ) and it gives me 200fps with less fps lag!

The screen freezes is a result of guns and effects being loaded (and with all these new guns out, it's way worse than before; therefore, it is indeed worse now than it used to be as a result of new guns, characters, grenade effects etc.), and should only occur at the start of playing the game. This is a direct result of too many changes to the REZ files, making some of the scripts in there either outdated or corrupted. In other words; whenever you start the game, you have to "load them up" again, which is rather fustrating indeed. The current fix for this would be entering a match and let the majority of the files load. The long term solution is rather obviously a total rewamp of the files from Z8Games/SmileGate's side. As GM's don't seem to pay much attention to the Barracks forum anymore, I'll start a forum thread on the competetive forum along with some other bugs to hopefully spread some lights over these bugs. Would be appreciated if anyone of you could help out by +1'ing the thread. Thanks!

I have a pretty decent rig, AMD FX-6300 + GTX 760 and I still lag. I mainly get really bad frame drops whenever a new player joins the game, which in pubs is very often so I am constantly lagging e.e

You need a better CPU so your FPS doesn't drop as badly.
