hey im an old player and figured coming back to crossfire. is it still active? have they fixed the hacking issues? roughly how many players are there to this day? thanks ahead of time - Butter

You don't find as many hackers as before, the NA servers are kind of dead, there are a ton of new weapons and mode and so on...

Everyone migrated to UK from NA and as soon as UK servers get issues, everyone migrate to NA from UK *-*

Well there's still activity but the NA Servers aren't anywhere near as full as they once were and most of the players across all channels are from the ME region or elsewhere where their pings aren't that good to put it nicely. So you can play but if you're wanting to play a particular mode like Ghost mode or something else that's not as popular you might have trouble finding a Good room of it. But if you want to play S&D or TDM. you should be fine. ZM3 is fairly popular now too.

As for Hackers. As long as you stay away from Ranked Matches then you SHOULD only run into maybe 1-2 a day if that unless you're really unlucky. Doing Ranked is another story....however compared to a few years back there's nowhere near as many hackers as it used to be 1-4 in every room just about. especially in the more vulnerable modes like Ghost mode.

Server stability is another question....NA servers are usually fine but UK ones seem to often experience difficulties anymore.

You may either like many of the changes to the game ....or you'll hate them depending on when it was that you're last active anything from VIP weapons to the CF 2.0 weapon effects like JHP ammo on SMGs, Dual mags for rifles, slugshots for shotguns and the what not.
