As mentioned before, ping depends on a few things. Location, your pc, the amount of people on your internet at the time, your connection speed (no your speed to somewhere other than the servers does not count, even on those speed test websites, because they pick the closest point to you that they can test), how many people are trying to use the same nodes as you on the way to the server, and of course server-side stuff as well

Yeah, you already gave the "gas station" example, but now it seems like I got stuck on a full gas station and cannot leave, my ping rarely goes to 34 now, it stays on 50-55... -
Do you happen to have any other things streaming at the same time? Youtube, Twitch, Netflix etc? Could also be that one of the nodes you go through has recently had issues or something. Only things I have open when I play is Facebook, GroupMe (chat group) and Forum, that's all. I don't listen to music or anything... I'll switch to another ISP, hopefully it changes (to lower ofc >.>) -
