How would you change CrossFire?
Hi,
Imagine you're the CEO of Z8 Games and Smilegate. You can do whatever you want. You can recreate CrossFire with the latest engine. You've got unlimited funds and can change any aspect of the game - small or big.
How would you change CrossFire? I am aware of the issues of pay to win so don't bother writing about that. Thanks in advance. Your feedback will help immensely.

We should be able to say a good 70% don't like the egy in this version @all. and moe should learn to except it. and learn to take it on the chin. period , why in god's name did he get MOD position is beyond my comprehension. especially what he did b4 hand anyways.
So yeah i would block EGY maybe the TR aswell and get the game running fresh again with the old EU players that left purely left beacuse of this ill mannered region. Bring back Saidin sack some of the GM's we have now "money for old rope"... And last but not least employ a good 20+ in support to handle the spam. -

First of all I would fire every MOD and GM right now, buy new anti-cheat like valve has, I would add more GP stuff instead of ZP, remove every VIP weapon and give people their money back (Because its stupid that you can run faster than anyone else in FPS game, I would hire more people which are interested in fixing the game (Not just making money of it like our admins right now are doing), I would fix every glitch, change design of every map, make spop and every other female character thicker so it has same model as male characters. Organized competitive scene for UK and NA on ESL. I would make special server for African players or I would just close connection with them and I would create a new version of crossfire just for Africa. I would fix china walk so we can hear it when people are doing it, fix polling-rate problem, I would make ranked playable and I as a admin would spectate 5 hours per day those matches so if anyone hacks in them would get perma ban. I would add rewards in ranked for top 50. If anyone is afk in channel for 2 minutes would get kicked out in server select so other people can join that channel.
I would put ZMX, Mutation mode, and all those modes 10 of them per channel. I would add patch with bug fixes almost every week. I would communicate with community much more and I would listen to their opinions in changing the game and many more stuff. -

I would do the following.
*Limit players to Specific servers based on IP address ( reducing ping issues)
*Dedicated Server for all players to mix and play "no ping restriction"
*Set Daily Mission on week 500 EP +1000 EXp next week "Free Crate Ticket".
*Kick Vote Host Option On and OFF all modes
*Dog Tags 3 "Free Crate Tickets"
*Dedicate Specific teams to patrol Ranked Games and Pub Games Daily "Alts"
*Hammer Rule "Hacker Permanently Banned and Alts from that IP first offense" Internet Cafe exception "Hardware Ban that PC"
*Report system would be changed 3 levels, Red, Yellow and Green zones. - Each report is allocated point, the more player report that player, the higher priority red zone is placed for immediate review,
Low level report will be placed yellow zones( less reported players) highest reported red zones(priority review for action).
*Implement Tencent Protection.
*Update at least 2-3 maps every month
*Farming Rule no exception.
*Limit 3 accounts Max per IP and Hardware
*Option Turn EXP REP System On or OFF "Red Ranks"

-Un-nerf the AK and pistol damage from long range
-Ban farming
-Bring back CF1.0 and old lobby layouts
-Upgrade servers so reg can be a thing in this game
-More events with rewarding prizes
-Look at comp scene more and make more tournaments for ZP in between CFCL breaks
-Increase BM ZP win rate
the list can go on but I would start with those first.

Real changes to the report system like an in game button under kick vote where players are allowed to report immediately if they suspect anyone of cheating. This option should record the current and next 3 rounds/5 mins and ask you twice if you want to send the replay to investigators, for false reports you should be warned or punished. This will make it easier for both sides since you don't have to waste too much to send the report manualy with time stamps and investigators should get a lower number of reports since there will be punishments if your reports are false all the time.
Let the players see who got permanently banned from the game the same way we see players winning stuff from black market. -
Give room host more powers.
-set a ping limit when creating a room
-VIP. yes/no (or remove that trash completly)
-Ban farming.
-Remove region restriction.
-Delete options for each item/weapon in storage
-Overwatch system (like csgo has)
-Hire some1 that brings the clan page that u promised 3 years ago
-EVEN MORE FREE STUFF -
Actually blocking them wouldn't change much. As in other games like S4L, only a few would quit and the rest would just use VPNs which means more lag mostly. Also, I prefer it like this, less hate and so, on the forums. There are three things needed in order for a game to survive and I would suggest to improve these three things before making any new changes:
1) Better Anti-Cheat System; I know that we have recently changed the current anti-cheat system for CrossFire however, it is still no where near the standard of Value's anti-cheat system. We need a more reliable and better anti-cheat system which can stop at least 90% of the hackers within the game. I know that no game can be hack free however, we can do our best to reduce the numbers to the very minimum.
2) Reliable Servers; The servers need improving or changing to a new location which will benefit the targeted audience for CrossFire. For example, the UK servers used to be in the UK until they got moved to Germany probably due to costs of the servers in the UK. The one thing we lost because of this change was the quality of the servers. We now have more errors and server issues than when the servers were in the UK. Not only did it increase problems but it increased the ping for the targeted audience which is the UK players. We used to have 14-20 ping and now depending on how good your internet is, some UK players are getting over 40 ping. If the servers keep getting issues then players are simply going to move to other games. Nobody wants to play 30 rounds of Zombie Mode or 13 rounds of S&D and then get disconnected at the end of the match and lose what they have gained.
3) Competitive Scene; The competitive scene needs to be thriving with actively and on-going tournaments. What CrossFire is missing is, LANs. There needs to be more LANs which players can attend just like Lvl Up Expro and PAX. These things need to be taken place at least once every two months since CFCL only comes around once a year. You need to give the competitive players a reason to stay, a reason to continue playing this game. Prizes and location needs to be big enough to attract both new and old players to the game.
Conclusion; In my opinion, these are the three basic things which every game should achieve before introducing other changes. So if I was the CEO of Smilegate West, I would find a better solution for the anti-cheat system, increase the funds to find new more reliable servers and introduce more LANs and tournaments keep the competitive scene more alive. Give players a reason to play the game.
Before I move on, I would like to talk about the support for UK players. The UK players have been restricted to playing CF North America because they own the license for the servers in the UK. However, the support for the UK players in terms of the competitive scene has been very little to none. If I become CEO of Smilegate West, I would do more LANs in the UK along with trying to get a UK team to go to CFS. It's been 8 years and we still haven't been able to get a team to go to CFS. Why are the UK players left in the dark? We should also have a chance at competing in the grand tournament for CrossFire. We are just as good as the next national team going to CFS.
Once these basics are met, I would apply the following personal changes to CrossFire;- Make farming a bannable offense.
- Fix the game freezing both in lobby and in-game.
- Add a in-game report system which can only be used by MODs.
- Change the GP Weapon structure so that the game adds at least one GP gun every 2 months.
- Change the Dogtag structure so that it gets changed every 3 months.
- Focus on modes which don't have many maps.
- Fix the VIP kick so users can't abuse it with snipers anymore.
- Removing the TMP from the Attendance System.
- Add Ping Restricted rooms.
So there you have it, these are the changes that I would make if I become the CEO of CrossFire. -
how about handing this game to a company that isn't trash and can actually fix the servers? i can all ways dream.
-change MM mode to gp weapons/items/gear only so it can actually be played again without the muts just getting stomped.
-make it so that players with 200 or maybe 250 ping and higher cant mutate players or inflict any damage.
-do something to make less played maps/modes more appealing.
-set the default map to random.
there is probably more that im not thinking of right now. -
I can see u guys keep up already gg on the great idea like the ex post when some1 said if u are gm for 1 day, anyway as i see u will not get anything from gm's or mod's from ur talking guys, but im sure if the gm's are intrested, they should look into those ideas that i read some of them already, well good luck guys, and never stop ur dreams until it comes true

I've got alot of things that help changing CrossFire for the better.
The main thing I would have done if I was the admin , I would make one version which contains all of the current CF versions , which has all of those servers(current servers , I mean BR/SP/EU..) , ofcurse you can choose the one who fits you , and there you are , you'll still get the same events we are getting now for all the servers.
If you still can't get what im saying.. Well , one CF version which contains all of the current servers , controlled by one company (same events , same GMs for all, etc...).
The other small changes:
-Change DogTag rewards.
-Improve current map textures and quality.
-Change Daily Missions reward with EP or increase the amount of GP to 5000.
-Remove FP mall.
-Fix servers and make them stable again.
-Kick out every egyptian out of the game unless you make their own server. -

great one.. you only care about your self NA and EU players if they make an Eg server for us you will play in your NA and Eu and we all will play in EG server .. blocking ip not a good idea so please take an action in this issue

This is the first thing that went through my mind. The problem was SGW letting this happen in the first place. Crossfire should have remained just CF NA/EU instead of splitting it. The Eu players were and are the core of both versions and splitting them up was a stupid business move but then again they are still making money regardless. You'd think that with the money they make they would be able to buy the license for Egypt no?
Back on topic I agree with a lot of ideas here (Camel's ideas were the most reasonable ones so far) but for the people saying they would fire every GM/MOD and delete VIPs and give their money back and such you are also failing as a businessman (CEOs are businessman) and their goal is to keep their company going and making money. By removing VIPs or giving their money back or adding more GP content instead of ZP you are pretty much in the path for sinking your company.
My suggestion would be have more GP content with USEFUL weapons and get a higher chance (not too high) of getting ZP crates and interesting new skins/designs. Revamp some maps or make events on the less used maps and change the default maps once and while. Also make daily missions/dogtag interesting again and deal with the ranked matches. And lastly TALK AND COMMUNICATE with the community being in the forum or online. The support system sucks right now and you just feel at mercy of a archaic support system that works by tickets when sometimes you get the same answers over and over again. I know that a personalization of this would take more time but as a player I would rather have a better "client friendly" support and take more time to get answered than this "trash" that we have right now.
