How do I get it though? I see the community already completed most of it. So everyone on Crossfire will get the EP, or is it just for people who participate.

Yeah as @RawThentic_ said.

Event Points will be rewarded during events.
So make sure you check the forums for Updates&events!

For this event you have to have done the Personal Goals that match with the Community Goals we've achieved. So say you've done 500 Shotgun kills during this event then you'll get the rewards from the Personal AND the 15,000 EP from the Community Goal. But if you didn't do the Pistols kills then you won't get the crates for the pistol kills or the 15,000 EP for the community reaching the required pistol kills.
Also the rewards for this event will be distributed during the next maintenance/patch which will start Tuesday night. So you'll have your crates and EP for doing the event on Wednesday when the servers are back up.
