There has been efforts made by the developers in the past to reduce glitching and it has worked. There are far less glitches today than there was 3 years ago. Back in the old days, there used to be no client errors, you could glitch anything without getting a error.

But yeah, I do hope the developers continue to make improvements to reduce glitching.
