Nightmare mode with the Ice Ape is so broken. Like WTF. It only TARGETS ME. When i spawn, it instantly goes for me;eventhough it was targeting someone already, and then it continues to two shots me. How broken is that, and i cant even run away. Can anyone give me some tips or something? I don't want to waste my revive on something so stupid

I'd suggest you playing on easier difficulty until you level up a bit. Going into nightmare mode at low level will cost you plenty of revives and hypos. As for Ice king, he can be taken down before he jumps down if you deal enough hp and that's the only way to stop him. Good lucky and have fun.

Only way to avoid him is to stay as far from him as possible. If you play with friends or clan, ask one of the members to shoot the small monkeys during the berserk boss round at round 13. Keep far from the main monkey but stay around the edges around 90 degrees to him, so you dont have to be at a 180 degree angle from him, so when jumps to the ceiling keep running back around the edge while shooting him in the head and you'll almost always avoid him or get very little damage if jumps on you.

But if you stay far from him just across the room, he'll jump on the ceiling and come right at you and you'll have neither left or right direction to go, cuz he'll just jump right on you if he comes at you from straight ahead.

Yea it's a good idea to make sure everyone in your Nightmare room is at least level 15 if you don't want to constantly revive. Keeping in mind that if you die you can wait it out and revive without using a revive too though.

Now here's something i've found....if you're the one being targeted....don't worry about shooting him with your gun. Just set your special, which should be a turret or claymore, and run like hell with the small blue hypos out healing but make sure you keep luring it into the turret fire this way you stay alive longer and can force the berserk ice ape into a known path making him more predictable and able to have your team mates hit his weak spot and use their specials more effectively. Turrets shred bosses quickly and the claymores do massive one time damage. If say 3 people have Claymores and two have turrets and you are prepared you can do some massive damage to any of the bosses very very quickly.

I've managed to not use any revives and only dying with the lives you're given at the start a few times now in nightmare. It's not easy but it is possible (though I assume when everyone is level 30 with maxed out upgrades it'll be a much smoother task)

I think the ape targets the highest level in the room.
I was level 18, highest in the room, it always came after me.

They should fix this.....

Yeah happends to me as well but i think he targets the one that does the most damage to him (which u can see after u beat him).

Best thing to do is to use ur melee to get as far as u can before he drops while your teammates shoot him.

NEVER USE REVIVE TOKENS unless the whole team is down, u have like 8 seconds when the whole team is down to use revive token so dont use it unless no one will revive under that time.
Also, focus on the main Monkey Boss only. The mini monkeys keep respawning until the boss is dead.

Theyre so slow that u can run from them even when holding an MG, so just ignore them and shoot boss... otherwise it will take ages...
