Can't connect to CS using the wifi in one place, but can connect with any other wifi

For some reason, i can't connect to CS in my college dorm. HGW game water gets stuck at trying to connect. But if i leave campus and go to my friends house and use his wifi, i can play. What do i do?

It's possible that they use a commercial filter in order to prevent people going to certain sites and so, you know what I mean, I cannot bypass it xD
The only way to connect to CF would be to use a VPN with encryption. But that, is forbidden to use in CrossFire. So you cant get around the censorship.

The only way I see how you could connect to CrossFire without breaking any rules, those from your college and those from CrossFire. Make a WiFi Hotspot on your phone. CF doesn't need much data. Just don't download the game or updates for it, when you don't have a unlimited data plan on your phone.

Most likely the college is blocking the ports needed to connect. There isn't really any easy way round it without using a different network at college.
