ALT TAB not working

FYI i did search before asking didn't see anything.

Is there a workaround for ALT-TAB in windows 10? I used to be able to alt tab while in the middle of a game but ever since
I switch to windows 10 this is impossible i can only switch screens from the game lobby or any non playing state such as
storage or server selection screen. When I press alt-tab it brings up the prompt to pick what I want to switch to but it
doesnt actually switch. Its kind of weird. If anyone has any information please let me know if its even possible to fix this
or if there is some kind of alternate way or workaround for this. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Virtual desktops doesn't seem to work well either.

if you switch tabs while loading game you'll be able to open that window later during the game. to use mouse in the other window you need to click esc or else the mouse will be always in the center of the screen

What I do is right when I click "join" I alt tab, whenever you're ingame switch back to the game and it'll work (just for that match, you have to do it again on other matches.)

ALT + TAB has strange effects on my system (Win 7). I always assumed it was some kind of anti-cheating prevention mechanism of some kind?
I mean, if you're running the game, there aren't many programs you need to run that can't be done well from using the "windowed mode" option I suppose.

I was hoping to prevent from using windowed mode because I like the full screen experience. But thanks for the help guys much appreciated.
