What if ZP crate weapons could be exchanged for ZP.
Hello, Gine here! I would like to start a fun discussion about the worth of weapons. (ZP crate weapons in specific)
I was thinking about it for years, and I would like you discuss my thoughts with other people.
Allright to start off,if the weapons could be exchanged with other people, they have to pay it in ZP because that's the currency everyone here can understand.
I would like to rank the weapons in "complexity of skin" and " rarity"
For example, the RPK Camo and the Barrett Imperial.
The RPK Camo is a very rare weapon and only a handfull people own it or seen in in game.
This is my guideline for "rarity" .
The barrett imperial is owned by a lot of people trough events, yet a lot of people still want one because it looks awesome.
This is my guideline for the " skin"
I would estimate the RPK Camo to be sold for... 70k zp, and the Barrett for 50k.
I chose the 70k for the RPK because it's rare, yet nobody seems really interested in owning one, so I would say 70/80k is a reasonable price.
I chose 50k for barrett because a lot of people own it, and maybe even 2 or 3, which decreases the value of the weapon.
Example 2: the Kriss Xmas.
I's a zp crate weapon, BUT a lot of people own 1 or more and nobody seems to be really interested in it.
I would sell it for 10k.
What weapons do YOU have and for what price would you guess it's worth.
I'm going to try to comment on everyones ideas.
Show me what you got!
EDIT: No, I don't care that Z8 will never do this. That's not what the question is about.

Although you may think it's a good idea, which can probably free up cluttered inventory space while getting ZP at the same time, it's just not a smart financial move for them.
Implementing this idea could probably put them at a loss, if something like this were to happen it would need to be a win, win situation. For both us and the business.
Let's say someone has a lot of ZP guns, with the limited amount of bags we have there's no way you're going to use them all. Most likely you would have a permanent bag choice, where you're likely to use a particular set of weapons every game.
This person realises look at all the ZP guns I'm not using, I could sell them off and get a percentage of my ZP back. This means that this person no longer has to buy ZP and essentially sell off the old guns for new ones they may like. Because people may have duplicate weapons they could sell even more, so that they won't have to buy ZP ever again.
Also I understand you're making estimates on "rarity" and ZP prices weapons should be sold for, however that's ridiculous.
If something like this was implemented on a realistic level it would be a percentage return of how much you paid until you won a weapon. Example of you bought 2 crates and you won in 2 crates you should get 40% return of 2,000 ZP which is a 800 ZP.
However this would be very hard to track and implement, there's also likely that there might be mess ups. With limited help from support, you may end up selling a gun that you paid 100k for in crates for only a 2k ZP return and no one would be able to help you. -

That pretty much sums it all up. -

Wait, you all understand me wrong!!
This is a "what if" question... I'm not asking Z8 to implement this "economic mechanic"
I'm just asking WHAT IF you could sell your zp crate weapon, and how much zp would you ask!!! -

While we're at it, what if I had 23 million dollars and my own personal support staff?
If the point of this thread is to daydream about impossible situations, then this should really be in the Off Topic section.
But just to show that I'm a sport... I would sell my phoenix axe for 10,000,000,000,000 ZP, my halloween bat for 20,000,000 ZP, and my christmas kriss for 875,000 ZP -
what if :
player 1 sold a weapon for 100k
player 2 get the weapon and have to pay 130k
100k goes to player 1 and 30k goes to z8games. win-win for both sides.
also it could be possible that at this art only duplicates can be sold. cause many players have the same weapon 3/4/5 times.... -
Just my 2 cents but this topic treads on a certain fine line. Specifically, it is in the Terms and Conditions that selling virtual items for money is prohibited. While we may be talking hypothetical only, this doesn't mean we're not still discussing the value of selling virtual items in relation to ZP (a currency paid for with real money), especially when you're saying:What weapons do YOU have and for what price would you sell it!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to discuss rarity/a potential in-game exchange system. Just hope you realize the difference between such a discussion vs. asking people how much ZP they'd be willing to sell their crate items for. I'd hate to see you get implicated just for trying to spark intelligent discussion.
-edit- I noticed the thread topic got changed to "What if ZP crate weapons could be exchanged for ZP" and the original post has been edited as well. So my post is now irrelevant, you can disregard. -
What's wrong with the people who posted in your thread just to bash you. He clearly wrote that this thread is for fun purposes so there's nothing wrong with it.
OT:
As it's a what if situation so i'll play along it. I have the following rare weapons in terms of rarity and complexity of skin:
M4A1-C-Aqua Aurora - 150k
IAS-Laser - 90k
Cop Derringer 357 - 200k
M200 Cheytac Grafitti - 75k
M16A2 - 50k
I rarely seen anyone with M4A1 Aqua, IAS Laser and Cop Derringer 357 that's why i set the prices so high for these weapons. -

I'm sorry Gine, not everyone can be green. I am black, it's a shade, can't just change to a colour like yellow
Also I wasn't bashing he clearly asked for opinions and I answered.Hello, Gine here! I would like you discuss my thoughts with other people.

It's as clear as night and day, also nothing wrong with this thread. -
Not going to happen, it would mean too much of a loss for smilegate. Imagine someone winning a "rare" weapon twice in, let's say, 10 ZP crates. That guy spent 8.000ZP, gets the ZP weapon he wanted, plus a huge load of ZP for the duplicate he's not gonna use anyway.

See? this is what I ment.
I mean, I don't exactly care about selling the weapons... just guessing it's "worth".
Allright, so I agree on your aqua aurora, however, in the beginning this crate was given away to people who ranked up during a specifick time, which (in my opnion) decreases it a little bit.
I would say... 100/120k sounds decent.
and for the rest I agree on everything, even though I think the m16a2 should go down by 20k because everyone who bought .. uhh 30k? 3k Bonuspoints? could get it. (i'm not sure about the exact amount)
Thanks for playing along -

yes I know.. just don't look THAT realistic at the question. -

Sorry, got a bit mad there because this guy replied like that even though I already mentioned that I wasn't asking z8 to use these systems, yet he continued to go on about it. -
The money they earn from people buying ZP isn't virtual.
Yeah but they use an E-Commerce system, so the money they receive from people purchasing ZP is electronic.
@Gine I don't know how old you are, though there's nothing wrong with this thread, you shouldn't be living in a fantasy. I get this was for "fun", but still. -

I'm 23, and i'm not living in a fantasy. I understand we have different interpretation of "fun", but let's say I think it's "interesting" to see what people would guess certain weapons worth. -

You should really word what you want better.
If you started like this there would be no problem:
"Hi my name is Gine, as you know ZP crate guns do not have a price tag. I am interested in what you think these ZP weapons are worth.
For example I think the RPK camo is worth 70,000 ZP
This is my opinion, feel free to discuss yours. Please keep it civil as this is just for fun. "
I suggest editing your first post, to avoid confusion. -

I literally couldn't be clearer with my original post, so I'll keep it the way it is, except some extra edits. -

The reason that i set the price of M16A2 so high is that the new players don't know about it and it's surprising for them to see someone with this gun. However, As you wrote it was only worth 3000 BP and was an easily obtainable item so your price seems more reasonable
Your welcome,bro. -
M16A2 should be cheaper because you can get it in the Primary Weapon ticket for 7 days.
Personally, if this were a thing, the type of crate it were opened from and the rarity of the gun would affect the price. For example the C.Axe-Phoenix would be worth very little (I see it in almost every melee room!) and the C.Axe-Octane would be worth much more. The crates aren't in the shop anymore and it'll boost the price a tiny bit over other weapons.
My weapons would be:
Sterling ST - 80k ZP
C.Axe-Tomahawk - 40k ZP
D.Eagle Stripes - 60k ZP
AK47-Knife-Brazil - 50k ZP
M82A1 Barrett-Ultimate Gold - 20k ZP
SIG MG 710-3 - 35k ZP
Dual Karambit - Ultimate Gold - 20k ZP
M4A1-S-Octagonal Camo - 120k ZP -

Actually, Those all sound very reasonable! I think you could up the DE stripes a bit, but I fully agree with your list! -
Seriously, I don't know what's wrong with people not understanding the point of this thread. It was clear to me, even though English is my second language. I guess the title could have been better. Laughing at comments, talking about reality, when we're playing a virtual game.
Anyways, I would give the M16A2 a higher value, one because it's not available anymore and second I personally like the sound of it. -
I'd suggest a trading system. That would be much more reasonable than paying zp for your guns/items. Many online games have trading systems and shops that helps you trade your guns with the other players. I don't really know why is Z8 refusing to add such a system. I know they're thinking of the consequences on zp purchases... but anyway, such a system would be awesome.
Exchanging my duplicates and getting dozens of my dream guns! I really hope such a dream comes true one day. I know it's a fantasy, but you can wish, bro
Edit: I wouldn't mind if Z8 takes some commission on these trades maybe like some extra expenses or so..
