Make Knife do no damage in "Sniper Only" matches!
Dear users,
After playing the recent sniper event, it has come to my attention that some players use their knife to kill other players in "Sniper Only" matches. This can be very annoying and isn't the aim of the game.
One solution that I came across is to make the knife do no damage therefore, players can't kill other players using the knife. I think this is a really good idea and will focus players to use their snipers instead of their knife when the whole point of the mode is to have just "Snipers".

And even so, having the option to fall back on a knife if it comes down to it isn't a sin. You should be able to kill a Knifer who needs to close the distance while you have to land a single shot.
If you can't, I feel as though that is your own fault. -

I just thought "No Knife" and "No Knife Damage" was two different ideas thus, why I made this thread.
As for falling back on the knife if you run out of ammo; Did players forget that they can pick up other players weapons? -

Odds are, next to everyone is running around with that EP AWM Infernal Dragon, so it seems as though that could be not an option for quite a while. -

Well, the EP Web Mall is meant to be changing on a monthly basis. So I doubt it will last that long in the Web Mall anyway. -

It's not always in the front when someone knifes you. It is sometimes during your side (left or right) or your back. -
I Agree with Topic.
Knife should be blocked for Sniper modes. Though, GM's are going to probably ignore this thread because they think that "it's a bad idea as players would not have an alternative way to kill their enemies if they run out of ammo." I personally think it would be fine.. even if we run out of ammo, (which is very rare), we can always pick up our enemies snipers (doubt they would all have VVIP snipers, anyway) and then we got the 'TIME' that could run out too, deciding a team winner with the most kill count/rounds won. I don't see a problem with this suggestion. -
honestly I think the best solution is to just nerf melee damage in 'Only' modes forcing players to rely on whatever the 'Only' weapon type is but still giving them a chance, albeit low, should they find themselves without a weapon or ammo for said weapon.
I mean sure...don't have a sniper or any ammo in yours...just pick up a fallen ally or enemy weapon...if there's one laying even remotely nearby.
And I'd say that the melee attacks is probably more annoying in FFA Snipers Only. But if you get Melee killed in a TDM or S&D Snipers Only and you have team mates alive as well...then your team is bad and you should feel bad. The problem with FFA in general is that there's no coding to prevent people from literally spawning on top of you should you be nearby a spawn point. Thus resulting in instant death nearly guaranteed. (the reduction in spawn invincibility has greatly helped out that aspect mind you). But seriously there should be some kind of coding that makes the game consider the best spots to re-spawn people in based on the location of living players to spawn points. Of course that could be problematic in some maps which have spawn points SUPER close to each other perhaps due to being a smaller map or not enough good spots to put a spawn location in for a FFA.
