What is your favorite effects on the weapons ?
I am not sure if I miss anything, but I try my best to list all the effect up to date:

I enjoy the Dual Mag guns such as the G3A3 Ares (it's so fun to use even if I do suck with it). Slug Shot is pretty cool too. And I like the aesthetics of the CQB Ares Knight sniper. Iron sights with a sniper...epic...even if not always practical. And not so much the Zombie Shot of the Tesla but the HE clip that the AA12 Busters has for ZMs. My god...that made ZM fun for a change....and super easy.
Honorable mentions to the Split effect on the Rebel Grenade and JHP ammo as it's really fun to annoy people (especially when you have so many JHP SMGs to choose from...TMP Val, TMP Rebel, Kriss Ares, Mp5 Ares. hahahaaaa)
as far as graphic animations effects like the ghosts on the halloween or the shiny crystal features of the imperial weapons...I don't like that. it's suppose to make it special but IMO it just serves as a distraction for the player. It'd be different if those effects were more noticeable for the other players you're playing with...but then it'd also but the using player at a disadvantage at being spotted easier then too.
I'd love to see more Zombie based weapons especially secondary and melee based ones. I could see an 'electric knuckles' weapon that when in ZM it'd charge up and allow you to use the shock feature like the special drop weapon in Shattered Station Hard.
I'd also love to see a 'Venom' set of melee weapons. Weapons with their edges tipped in a poison that deals little amounts of extra damage over a few seconds after getting hit by it. Like a knife and an axe. -
I wish for a weapon to detonated when someone from the enemy team uses it doing damage based on how much ammo there left in the gun with a blast radius that also based on ammo count.
I don't recalled the ZM nade having a slow effect it does have a explode on contact feature in ZM like the gold nade I use in bag 3. -

that first idea you have sounds similar to Tediore weapons in Borderlands 2 when you reload them you throw them like a grenade and how much ammo was left in their clip determines how much damage they do when they explode. (and then due to their technology a new one appears in your hands) could be interesting but also very annoying cause random 'Gun Hunter' players are bound to pick it up and if it has a blast effect then RIP.
as for the ZM Nade effect...it's actually a Mutant VS Knight nade from the supply boxes i think is what was being referenced. In which there's a nade you can throw that creates a wide spherical area of effect that when mutants enter it, they get slowed down considerably. -

The weapon that explode will be gimmicky it will explode when the trigger is press you will do the first person model of the afraid "when you get roar at by a Armored mutant" then it explode the kill credit goes to the last person on the op team touching the gun if you want to use you have to drop it and pick it up again then the gun will reg for your team. -
My favorite effect is when the weapon doesnt have days and hours left on its icon in storage.

On Topic: I love any effect that stands out from the crowd and gives me slightly more advantage in battle (to make up for my low FPS). :P
