want to play Bombing Mode
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for some players to play the new mode with me. I haven't checked it out yet and was curious if somebody would want to play together?
Maybe explain it a little to me :P
You can PM me in game or here on forum so we can set a time and date.
I will be on for a while.
Thanks and see ya later ♥

Well not really looking to play it unless they make an event for it.
But...simple explanation...
It's kinda like S&D except that each team must first find the GPS. (essentially the c4) It'll show up in 1 of 3 spots which are marked. Once spotted only one spot will be marked. So once you find it, you pick it up and then you have to take it to your bombing A or B site. (there's 2 sets of sites. One set for each team to plant at. You're looking for the ones opposite of where you spawn of course). Once you get it to one of the sites you plant it and as soon as you plant it an airstrike comes in and round over you win.
Now...once you pick up the GPS it'll alert the other team and you only have like 1 minute or something to get it planted.
If your enemy has the GPS the person carrying it will occasionally show up on your radar with a GPS symbol. This gives you a chance to find them and intercept them before they plant.
Also if you or a team mate dies you have like 12 seconds get revived or to revive them. (during which time the person that is 'dead' is like crawling around and can move SLIGHTLY). However, if the person is killed by getting shot in the head they can't be revived and if they are waiting to be revived they can still be shot in the head so that they can't be.
So some strats...
-Split your team into 3 groups. Each one should QUICKLY head to each GPS site to find the GPS first before the other team. That way you know where the GPS is and have an advantage. This also means that IF the enemy team finds it first you should have pretty much all routes to your A and B sites covered so that they can't just sneak behind and plant.
-IF you fail to get GPS first drop back to your bombing sites because they'll have to show up there and otherwise they could potentially sneak around and plant it without any opposition.
That being said...it's a fairly large map with an interesting lay out. So it's best to play this map with 12+ people so you have at least 6 people on each team. -
It headshot and melee kills, downing someone get you a assist but it doesn't count as a Death for that person regardless unless he gets HS or hit by a melee. Due to the way the gamemode work unless you headshot with a Sniper rifle it will not be as good as a SMG or rifle, Due to how the gamemode work you might be wasting alot of ammo if you only body shot with the sniper.

^This
imho it will be a dead mode just like many others.. I haven't played it more than 3 times
The single difference I see between snd and bomb mode its the c4 that turns into a gps airstrike aka insta BOOM and the chance for both teams to set up the gps. -
Yea I think it'd be more interesting if the matches were designed to be longer and there were respawns like a TDM. Which would probably be achievable if say like there's only 1 place to plant for each team. Then each team has a starting point that's near but not AT the planting area. This would force you to create a defense and an offense, find and maintain possession of the GPS device, and force your way into the opposing teams zone.
Heck even if they set up a mix of this and wave mode perhaps. Where there's a couple tower defenses near each Base, one route which can avoid those, and then the only 'airstrike' in the match is from planting the GPS in the opposing teams base. Just class cards, a couple of Towers for auto-defenses (but an access that avoids this to still force you to keep SOME defenders back.)
Right now it's really just rush to the GPS and sneak behind...if you even have to sneak. Anything under 5 players on each side often ends up in a lot of rounds where one person finds the GPS and goes unopposed to one of the planting zones for the round win. -
Thanks for the explanation, much appreciated!
Sadly during weekends I'll be busy with cfcl stuff. But whoever wants to play this mode with me, we could do so on Monday.
It sounds like an interesting mode tho, I've been in one once but only with 1 other person and we both did not know what to do exactly. The room was a public room bit nobody joined besides this one person.
We will see maybe someone can find a cool mini game for this mode or something. -
Why does this thread have 5 golden stars?
Vbulletin Forums have a function in which you are able to rate threads by 1-5 Stars. The ability to rate threads seems to be limited to MODs and GMs, however. Pay no heed to it. You'll always have 6 Stars in my book.
