Because I spent a lot of money and still have a couple of friends left who still play the game.
Probably the answer of everyone in NA server.
Also CF2.0 is a huge fail in my opinion. If CF was still how it was before the 2.0 patch in December, then CF would still be a good game. -

We were all so excited for this patch too and tons of old players came back to see if CF was better...and it wasn't. My FPS actually got worse and the servers are terrible. -
the developers have never given this server a chance. i feel sorry for z8games because theyve been dealt bad hands over and over. where we are now is a result of that. i first started playing this game February of 2009 and since the beginning its had a platform similar to one requiring a bat and a dead horse. we all had fun at one point and i continue to try to have fun even now. but we all knew what this was. its a scam geared towards gamers. a cancer thats spread. i mean look at mobile apps on tablets. pure cancer centered around racketeering profits.

^^ Pretty much that. the Development process of this game was never adapted to fit the needs of the player base that supports it. And thus people have left at an increasing rate especially as other issues intensify DUE to people leaving. So RIP. CF NA Servers are literally on their death beds. And....Only Time Will Tell....if ALL those involved in Developing and Running this game even care to try to revive the NA servers or just let the others go in self-proclaimed exile. -
Some months ago North america server...
North america server today... what is going on? -
The thing you need to understand is that most players who play this game are under 18 years of age. This means they are most likely back to school/college in September thus, why there are low amounts of players in the servers.
Yeah but Abel you also have to realize even for this time of year we've had record low numbers of players logging on. I mean we really can't compare to 09-12 when the servers were highly populated, but even last year or the year before we had at least double the amount of people in the NA servers. I think due to the multiple server crashes in NA a lot of people have been playing on the UK servers as they seem to have increased in volume, however, it is probably just as likely that an influx of players in NA have all quit at the same time, not wanting to play on broken servers and deeming that because of that an school starting that CFNA just might not be worth it anymore. -

Most likely true. It took forever to fix the 95% loading bug and now we still have random freezes in the game which still haven't been fixed yet. And nothing can beat CFNA glory days which were in 2009-2012 where there was high number of players playing this game and the game seemed more "alive" back then.
All that aside, I still do believe more players play during their holidays while not many play during their school or college terms. And I do believe that CrossFire has somehow improved from 2009.
