Crossfire Startup

Hey guys, I have another problem that had been going on for a long time, but i didnt bother asking for help.

Whenever I start up Crossfire, after pressing "play", the first time it loads the whole CF login screen literally just messed up. I can't see the other side of the login screen, and i'd have to end task from the task manager in order to "fix" it. Can someone help me with this?
I dont know if its the 32/64 bits problem.

I guess a temporary fix would be to go into your CrossFire Screenshot folder, open up your "System.dat" file with your Editor and change the value I marked which should be a "0" to a "1".



What this does is set your Game into windowed mode, enabling you to drag the window around, if it's messed up.

I have the same problem
It started after the 2.0 patch
Every single time I open my pc and run the game the login screen is broken and I have to run the game again

I have a similar problem with login screen... Sometimes the login window will never pop up and i have to kill the game from processes and try again and again till its working. Also My game freeze (no way back, must kill the process) after I login if i don't join a game asap.

EDIT: btw preset.. I tried your "fix". when I open the game its still full screen and the that 1 it auto change back to 0. For some reason I'm not allowed to switch to windowed mode even on game.

For me, i notice it does that and changes my computer resolution to 800x600. What I do is open up settings and change resolution back to a higher resolution. Then I see the entire login screen in windowed mode. I log in, and once I join a game, it switches back to full screen mode. Easier than forcing quit from Task Manager and then restarting the game hoping the next time it's not cutting off half the screen.

Well this happened to me even before i started playing lol.... How are we not able to find the right fix for this x.x
