Well... the servers are back online. Have you tried to connect as of now? If not, then you might have to reinstall using the proper steps.
- Control Panel -> Z8Games -> CrossFire -> Uninstall CrossFire
- Open Up My Computer
- Delete the CF directory (Program Files/Z8Games/CrossFire/)
- Delete the CF directory (<user>/Document/CrossFire/) (Make sure you backup any screenshots or replays you may have before doing this).
- Disable your anti virus
- Download the newest client from our downloads site
- Install the game from the new download
- Add the entire crossfire folder to your antivirus exceptions
- Re-enable realtime protection
I hope that helps! -

Had the same error , just open your Z8games CF folder and run CF_G4box as admin and the patcher will update properly
Lol I did Able's thing before I read your comment... dangit, I will try that next time tho! -
Found Solution:
Go to CF folder
Copy the "version" file to desktop
Right click this copy and make sure read only is unticked
Open the "Version" file with notepad, change the version to the next number e.g. 1206 to 1207.
Save the file
Copy and replace the file in the CF folder and run the patcher with administrator (might not be needed)
If this happends, do it again but keep increasing the version number by 1 each time.
I have no idea why I have to manually do this but whatever... -

Very strange solution... But I'm happy that it worked for you.
