??With the Shovel RD being a Perm now, every Ribbon counts, so I can hardly blame em' for trying to win it.
The way this event is setup it's not a single player task thing, your whole country needs to pitch in some work. Unless they meet up in NA6 and make a private room... -

There certainly could of been some improvements made for the Event as a whole. Like, I dunno. You need to reach 100-200Kills every Week, failing to do so would eliminate you from the Event, preventing free loaders/People who drag down the average.
Although that sort of advice comes rather late with less than 24 Hours on the clock. -

They certainly can inprove this event still by removing some of the turkish farmers or even give them a ban. But why do so? Game's dying anyways lmao. -
I got the shovel dragon already but I wanted that ribbon, I'm a ribbon collector but I agree with you guys I bet that a lot of those gold medals were farmed by a lot of noobs. Lol..I feel so heartbroken.. This is annoying. Like srsly..? First of all they did not inform us of when the event ends..I assumed it would end on the 6th of September like fragging and sweeping..i.e( when 6th sep ends) , U closed the main thread of cf games.. And did not update the whole schedule of the event. Most of the ppl gave up on the event but there are some who did not. So didnt u have some responsibility towards them? Heck there was even a thread made regarding when blitzing event ends..and yet no answer on that either. I got up today to give my all since I thot it was the last day for the event and saw it already ended..and damn CamelTbag I have no words for you. I appreciate the other members of Team GB who held back to give a chance to Ger and I feel awful to let u guys down as well as my Team. Extremely disappointed. This is pathetic. Feeling so frustrated about this.

All the other events have been 2/3 days...why would this one have lasted a week exactly?
And if you lost, then you need to be blaming your team for not putting the work in, not the other team for actually doing work.
That's like blaming another athlete for beating you, when you didn't train as hard. -

then most of the events b4 blitzing lasted for 2/3 days
7. Blitzing - from 2nd of sep till 5th of sep = 4 days. its natural I would assume it will be for 2/3 or "5" days as well not "4" days and made it even more logical since sweeping and fragging are gonna end on 6th as well. -
Many players thought that today was the last day for blitzing as fragging and sweeping. If i were to blame someone, i would do it with who hasn't updated the schedule of the event, and ofc the team GB, ok is a competition,but if you have already 6 gold medal, why not let to the other teams the opportunity to win it ...

so out of 20, 2 are running the entire time, so lets discount those, so we're down to 18 events...4 of which have been for 5 days, 3 of which happened at the same time...so again, lets discount those three...so we're down to 15, with 1 being for 5 days.
Like I said, the MAJORITY (i.e. 14 out of 15) of the events have been for 2 days...I haven't seen anything that says when the blitzing event runs from/till...so I'd have assumed 2 days like the majority of other events... -

Umm...Like I said.. I assumed the event would be for 2/3 days or 5 days..since it did not end after 2/3 days..I asssumed it would end on 6th i.e 5 days..rather it lasted for 4 days.. This is the odd one out. Im not accusing anyone anything. But tell me..werent they suppose to update the event schedule and let us know? Dont blame me for assuming the obvious. -
I'm going to have to agree with shoni here. They should have, and it truly was the people hosting the games responsibility, to update the schedule of events to make sure everyone knew when everything started and when it was going to end. This is one of the big failings of MANY events the past few months. Mainly not letting people know the event is starting until the day of rather than not letting us know the end time. However, I do also believe there was the ZP Storm event where they never updated the last 2 days of winners. While i'm sure the winners won, it would have been nice and fun for everyone else to see who won.
And in all honesty, they should have had a Schedule of Events posted from BEFORE the games even started. All of it. Not updating to reveal start and ends of events hours before said events started. Not only revealing handfuls at a time. And IF one of the scheduled dates had to get changed last minute they could ALWAYS have added a note that 'Posted Schedule is subject to change but this SHOULD be the times and dates for the events/games'. That way people can plan better and ya know. actually participate fully and organize their teams.
so sure. most events were only 2-3 days long. with a handful being 5 days and the big 2 being the entire length of the overall event. But that doesn't change the fact they failed us, yet again, with event related stuff. Had I been trying for the Blitzing event I probably would have assumed the end of the 6th as well for it's end timing. Since like said it went beyond the 2-3 days mark and the only events to do that lasted either 5 days or the entire length of the Games. But again...shouldn't have had to assume when the end time was going to be.
This has been by far, one of the most poorly managed events I've witnessed here. -

How is it their fault?
They said what to do, they said what the prizes were, people joined up and didn't help out, meaning they dragged down the average scores, meaning everyone that was active had to work 3/4 times harder to counter the inactive people....it's the fault of the people that joined teams and didn't contribute. -
They mentioned about prizes but we don't know anything more than a ribbon. They didn't said from the very begining about average, If i knew that before I had to chose I would probably have chosed a country that no one would pick and get all my nolifers friends so no one could have a chance for the gold medal (and this just to show them once again how bad is this event).[MOD]NattNatt wrote: »How is it their fault?

It's their fault because they didn't add requirements.. so all those inactive people can get removed from a specific challenge if they don't contribute with a small amount of points. You realize that the balance between countries is poor.. and not anyone can carry a country with a 2-3 players.

But how do we know who they are? We have no clue whatsoever who even picked our team. We have no clue who contributed to our team unless they were in top 10. I'm blind for sure because I didn't notice ANY CHALLENGES to read *AVERAGE* WHEN I HAD TO PICK A COUNTRY. But its probably better this way because If I knew then RIP this event.

What are you talking about dude ? friends to carry a country ? requirements ? This was the stage when people had to pick countries. It has nothing to do with inactive accounts, and the stage where event is in progress. And.. if you didn't notice there are countries who carry with 1-3 ppl. Yeah... its probably my fault cuz I don't have 100 friends to be equal with them xD or Z8 fault because they can't make a balance and that's the reason why people struggle to get 1 gold.

I'm angry at the wrong people ? really ? ok then who is supposed to fix and balance things ? players ? me ? god ? Of course I'm mad because I lost and I can't blame unknown players for their inactivity. Z8/Smilegate or whoever is in charge could easily remove those inactive accounts from a specific challenge if they don't contribute with even 0.01.
I'll quit this conversation because I'm not here to explain something to someone who know how unfair is... and who to blame for Z8 mistakes. -

3 times german players in top 10
1 times great britain player in top 10
but GB wins. explain me how.... ill think GB has just the most amount of players. and thats an unfair advantage. or how do they come to 7 gold medals?
btw. germany was the whole weekend and monday on 1st place. tuesday morning (for me as german) whats dat GB is 1st? 3/4/5 hours before the event end (what no one knows) GB ranked up`?
after all the fails that this event had. z8 just should give out the ribbon to everyone who active participated. -

That's just facts though, if people did contribute, you'd have won. It's really that simple. I'm not, I'm pointing out the various flaws in what you're saying. I don't know, I haven't been "beating around the bush", I've never referred to it as I don't know, that's not my job. But that's not up to Z8 to disqualify someone from the event? if they chose not to take part, that's up to them, they're going to affect their team by not doing. If they choose to do that, then that's up to them....that's why. It didn't have any fails..? A mistake in not updating the dates for one particular event, but on the whole it's gone really well?
And GB win's because (as I've pointed out several times already) it depends on averages. That means the total score for the country, divided by the total players of the country....100 UK people with a total score of 100 will beat 200,000 egy players with a total score of 1000, since 100/100 = 1 and 1000/200000 = 0.005. That's how. Simple maths really...?
No, they have a LOWER amount of players, not higher...higher would work against them, everyone has to work harder to support the less-active players...it's not an "unfair advantage" you're just mad you didn't win. If you had won, and the tables were turned, no doubt you'd be trolling people that said it was unfair you'd won. That's the nature of competition. There are always winners...but that means there will be losers too.
And that's because the GB team are dedicated and wanted to win, so worked hard to win another medal I expect...? There's nothing in the rules that says they can't...Germany could have done the same to ensure they kept their lead instead of saying "Oh, we're winning, lets relax now"....
