HGW 100% W[2004] L[0] Can't connect? Servers aren't down.
No combination of uninstalling/reinstalling, VPNs, firewall exceptions, anti virus exceptions, etc can get me passed this error.
Is it the network I'm on preventing me from connecting to CF? I'm on college ethernet. Some sort of filter, maybe? Literally every other game I've tried works just fine on this internet.
At first, I was only having this problem on WiFi and could play CF through ethernet. But, after a restart of my PC, it no longer works on ethernet either. (Changed it from public to home in Network Settings to see if that made a difference... it didn't.)
Is there a way around this? I know the servers aren't down, which is what that error is (according to google).
Halp
I need something to distract me from my studies so I can fail college like a success.
Install the game, run setup, launch game from both the CFLauncher and patcher_cf, both give the same result. X-Trap/HGW successfully load, but I get that error after sitting at HGW 100% for 10-15 seconds. Then it closes.

1. Click on Public network and change-it to home network
2. Close all other background programs (like the CPU monitor... utorrent.. Shield Streaming (from nvidia).. Microsoft Lync and other instant messangers... etc)
3. Delete folder HGW and Xtrap from CF - will force download a fresh version from servers
I did that already.(Changed it from public to home in Network Settings to see if that made a difference... it didn't.)
As for the programs, tried that. Closed everything it would allow me to. (Lightshot was opened after it failed so I could take the screenshot.) The Nvidia programs gave the error "Could not terminate. Access denied."

Update. Blind luck, I launched it today and it put me through to the game. Played for a bit. Closed it out, few hours later tried to launch again and ended up back with this error again.
I'm beyond confused.
Pretty much giving up. Just going to have to try to play it every now and again and cross my fingers it gets passed the HGW window.
