I am thinking to buy a new laptop. Help?

hey guys, hi there, well, i am a newby in these things.. didnt knew where to post it, so i think here is the best place. Well i am thinking to buy a new laptop. I want it to run smooth with fraps.. i mean i want to record my games. i mostly like hp computers, i havent had a problem with them. now, i have a dv5-1028CA it have like 30 - 80 fps, but when i start recording it falls to 1 - 15 fps and it freezes.. any help? if its HP better. i have hear that some laptops have from 100 - 300 fps? I NEED THOSE

naw, i dont think so, IMO my internet is great, alienware is good, but idk if you had notice my location, thats right. ecuador. in USA a laptop is 800 here 1100 - 1300.. -.-

In my laptop i can record games. I set 100FPS on fraps and that's it. After that no more crashes.

Or

Go into a shop and ask what laptops they have
Say u would prefer one that would suit gaming

Or

Get a new graphics/video card and improve ur fps (much better option as it is much cheaper)

Recording real-time videos of gameplay basically steals CPU/GPU power which could have been used otherwise. I tried recording with FRAPS and my frame rate dropped to the limit of playability.

This MIGHT help, force it capture at 30fps or 25fps (custom), then select half-size video capture. And untick "Force Lossless RGB capture (may be slower)"

I had an old 3GHz P4 that had immense trouble recording a mere game like FS 98.

EDIT: Oh yeah, don't forget your hard drive as well. Apparently you need a good amount of HDD cache so the actual video can be saved to your hard drive faster. As well, you could try lowering the resolution and graphics settings to make it faster.

go to a shop and ask is a good idea, BUT, those guys SUCKS they said every computer is for gamming -.- even a 8" hp 1g ram..

Haha, well, you never tell them WHAT games you want to play. xD You automatically assume 'gaming' refers to the ULTIMATEand most RECENT in games. :L
